Awesome atmosphere, great snacks, ice cream, cold drinks and charming tourist's gift shop. The nice man that runs the place is friendly and charming. If you're near Sandy Hook, stop by McFly's across from the lighthouse. Definitely worth a small detour.

Nice place to stop for lunch. Sandwiches are made fresh. Milkshakes and ice cream are also sold here.

From McFly's On The Hook
Welcome to McFly's On The Hook, located in the former Post Exchange (Building #53) and situated beside the Sandy Hook Lighthouse, which is the oldest operating lighthouse in the country. Some have hailed us as pioneers and it has been very exciting to work with the National Park Service to save this building for future generations. We have restored this historical building, making it ADA compliant for everyone to enjoy.
We offer an unusual array of food, snacks, beverages, ice cream and oddities for the visitors to Sandy Hook and Fort Hancock. Cash Only (with ATM on premises).
