VERY GOOD BANK , AND EVERYONE IS VERY VERY CONCERNED TO GIVE YOU THE BEST SERVICE, THE PROBLEM IS THAT SOME CUSTOMERS GO THERE REQUESTING SOME KIND OF SERVICES THAT THE BANK CAN'T PROVIDE , AND THAT IS WHY PEOPLE RIGHT AWAY SAY NEGATIVE THINGS ABOUT THE BANK AND THEIR EMPLOYEES.SOME CUSTOMERS GO LATE, AND ON TOP OF THAT, THEY GO WITH NASTY ATTITUDES, AND ONCE THEY GET REJECTED, NOW THE BANK IS NOT GOOD. IM 62 YEARS OLD AND I HAVE BEEN WORKING IN MANY PLACES ANDNEVER HAVE ANY ISSUES WITH ANY BANK.

Avoid this bank at all costs!! Not only will they charge you a $30.00 monthly maintenance fee unless you have a ridiculous amount of money with them. And if you happen to be overdrawn, you will be charged $5.00 per day, including weekends. Who does this!!This is a terrible bank and I'm sorry that I ever opened an account here. I just closed my account and moved on.

Like another reviewer, I recently received two letters informing me that both my personal and business checking accounts would be charged $50 (!) per month if I didn't maintain a $20,000 balance. I've been banking at PGB since working with them as a customer service consultant in 2000 and this was a firm slap in the face. So, PGB, it's not enough that I maintain $15-20k total between the two accounts AND you've never paid interest on either account, while using my funds as all banks do, to make money on my back. Sad how low you've gone, PGB. Goodbye.

My organization will be shutting down its small business account with the week, which is clearly what they want to happen, similar to what happened to HSBC over a year ago, but at least they had the dignity to sell most of their branches to another commercial bank. They are clearly setting themselves up for a massive downsizing and to be bought out. This follows their shutting down branches in Whitehouse and Chatham Borough. Their trail balloon was a year ago, shutting down 5 branches "temporarily" for a fake staffing shortage in order to irritate people into closing down their accounts.

They've become a predatory bank, converting free business accounts to $20,000 minimum or a $50/month fee, per a December 15 letter. Is this a cash grab on the way out? Perhaps a way to steal all the money out of dormant accounts? Terrible behavior for a community bank. The letter boasts of their 100 year existence, but I'm guessing they won't be around much longer. They've also suddenly become very eco conscious and will charge you $5 for a statement credit. Good going, Dominic Sedicino.

I have been a customer of Peapack-Gladstone since I was 5 years old when I opened my first savings account. I use to use the Chester branch but have banked in Hillsborough since I moved to the town, 7 months ago. Since then, every two weeks, I come to withdraw my paycheck. It is always the same amount, or within two hundred dollars. I came to bank at this location on November 30th. I used the drive-thru since I had my dog with me, just like every other time. My teller was Oanh Pietraszewski. She has served me almost every single time I have banked. This particular time, I put my withdraw slip and drivers license in the box (as usual) and sent it to her. After ten minutes passed, I could see there was only one customer inside being helped by another teller, she came back and demanded I give her my full social security number. I asked why she needed that as she had my information and serves me every two weeks. She snootily said "because I don't know who you are. what is the issue? give me your information". I asked her to send my paperwork back to me. I then parked, leaving my dog in the car on a very cold day, to go inside and bank with a different teller. This other woman (I didn't get her name as she had no name plate) helped me instantly and I was done banking within 5 minutes. I asked her if she needed my social security number in order to complete the transaction. She replied "of course not. I have your license, obviously this is you". During our transaction, Oanh had gone to complain to a woman who I assumed was the branch manager. I thanked my teller and as I was leaving, this woman came out of her office, tried to block my exit, and barked "is there a problem here?!?" I replied with a simple "nope! have a GREAT day!" and left the bank. I have never been so disappointed in the banking service through this company. If I wasn't a regular customer for the past 20 years I might understand such treatment but it was so horrific to be treated in such a rude way. I will now be going inside to bank from now on so I am not forced to have Oanh as my teller. Such a shame that this woman caused such an issue over a simple withdraw that I do every few weeks.

In this crazy world of banking, virtual, video, and on-line, it is so refreshing to see a local bank focus on the customer. I've been a personal customer for more than 10 years and have had two business accounts there as well. These are real people, who know your name and face, and make any visit to this branch like stopping by for a quick visit. Service is always friendly and efficient, either in the bank or at the drive-up. The bank is very accommodating and lends needed assistance to customers, like Notary Public authentications, general banking questions, best options for account management, loans and investment options. I highly recommend Peapack-Gladstone Bank to anyone who is looking for a bank that puts is customers and service above all else.
