The lights were just meh. Took about 10 minutes to drive through it. The Santa they had was obnoxious. You had to show your qr code for everything. For what they charge it wasn't worth it.

Went to see the Christmas lights last night. it was very organized but there were way too many cars for each time slot booked. We had a 7:30pm reservation, we got on line at 7:25. We sat there with about 100 other cars for 40 minutes before we could go. This was very hard to do with kids sitting in the car. In that time we had to do bathroom runs, snack runs etc. Next year I hope they will consider taking less reservations for each time slot. Lights were very good though.

Would like to give 0 stars. Went for Orchard Light with an 8pm reservation. Showed up early, and as of 8:30pm sitting in a queue area with tons of cars and screaming kids. S'mores were stale and hot chocolate was watered down. What's the point of a reservation? It's now been over an hour with reservation- no lights in sight.

Went with my family the weekend after Halloween and the farm was pretty empty which to me is not at all a bad thing. Getting from the main road to the pumpkin patch was a little confusing but once we got to the entrance there were plenty of workers to guide us through and directed us with in the parking lot. Very organized and courteous. The pumpkin patch was small compared to the ones I've been to out in Long Island but I feel like the pumpkins from this farm are better. I love the cute little houses located just inside the pumpkin patch, the kids loved playing in them and they were cute for pictures. There were a few "face in the hole boards" that were great for pictures too. There's a little stand between the pumpkin patch and the animal pen that sold crackers for the animals. The animals were cute and very eager to nibble the crackers out of my kids' hands. After about 5minutes with the animals, we went on the hayride which we felt was the best part bc we had the truck to ourselves. I don't know if that's bc it was past the Halloween rush, but either way we prefer no crowds. The perimeter of the truck bed had benches and in the middle were small bales of hay to prop your feet on or for little kids to sit on. After the ride the driver was kind enough to shut the engine and let my kids sit in the driver seat. My son(almost 3yo) lit up and did not hesitate to grab the wheel and pretend to drive. Even my daughter(9.5yo) was all smiles. Before leaving we stopped by the market which was busier than the pumpkin patch. It was a cute market that had a lot of products. There even was a deli counter that made sandwiches & salads to order. Everything looked delicious but was quite pricey, which if you think about it, how often are you going to go to a farms market to buy pies and donuts? The main reason for my going though, was to get apple cider donuts. The donuts came in two options: cinnamon sugar coated or powdered sugar coated and were packaged in sets of 5 and 10, stacked up on this massive table. Every so often someone from the back would come out with a couple packs of freshly made donuts. I also got a jar of raspberry preserves and a s'mores chocolate chip cookie(my daughter LOVED it). Just outside the market was a playground for kids. It looked cute but we didn't have time to let the kids play. Over all, we all enjoyed our time at the farm. My family and I live out in Queens and only came to this farm bc I have relatives that live close to the farm. We would definitely come again but maybe we'll try for apple picking.

We're former New Jerseyans, and we tend to visit this kitschy place for apple cider and apple cider donuts when we visit family in the fall. Demarest Farms has been around for a while, yet I don't think they can figure out what they want to be. On one hand, there's a pumpkin patch and some (pricey) apple picking. On the other hand, there's a petting zoo and the Halloween light show/Orchard of Lights events. And then, there's the little store that sells tons of apple sauce, pies, some produce -- and the apple cider donuts that I enjoy. Except, the last couple of visits (this year -- 2023 and in 2019), the donuts weren't much better than the ones I could buy from a grocery store bakery. Not bad by any means ... just nothing special as I remember from way back, when we came here more regularly as residents. Will we return? Sure. Maybe in a year or two. Will Demarest Farms add a Ferris wheel and kiddie rollercoaster by then? It wouldn't shock me. And unfortunately, the quality of the donuts will likely suffer as a result.

Very nice farm. Love the yummies inside! (Pies were a little more costly than other farms) However we went here because online they advised pumpkin patch was open and when we went in after driving 1.5 hrs from NY, they said they were closed. I tried calling I said, they were too busy Never the less cute photo ops and some animals outside. Also, a lot of seating outside. We spent some time. We bought some goodies and left to another patch!

It’s okay honestly if your going pumpkin picking the pumpkins are always smashed, it’s a very TINY field so slim pickings. Parking is slim, and has gotten way overpriced over the years what a shame. There’s better farms out there with much more to do. The apple cider donuts are great.

Cute tractor and playground, farm animals too. Be aware: This farm charges for every single thing and you must book online first. I was not given a ticket for pumpkin picking (their mistake) and then accused by an employee for taking a pumpkin although I explained I had paid for it. I had to show proof on my phone. They charge $5 deposit for poles that other farms give out for free. To feed farm animals it's $3 for two crackers. Pumpkins are $12 no matter what size your kids pick out and they will only allow one for $12. Apples are all over the orchard ground which leads to kids tripping left and right. You won't find apples unless you go all the way to the back of the orchard. The other reviews are correct in that employees are not friendly and they charge a fortune. Plan accordingly.

Their website is deceiving! It leads you to believe that you are paying for a hayride up to the apple orchard and Pumpkin patch when infact you have to drive up to the area yourself. If I had known this when booking my appointment online I would have looked elsewhare! They offer a small little field with pumpkins scattered around for picking and nearly bare apple trees to pick from. In addition to paying 8 dollars a person for admission, you pay 15 dollars per peck bag for your apples and 12 dollars for each pumpkin. Then you have to pay for food for the animals if you choose to go to their petting zoo and feed the animals. That hayride you paid for is included as an added activity if you can find it and it was a two minute ride of nothing. When I tried to speak to the staff about the website being misleading I was met with rudeness and dismissiveness! My family and I made the best of the situation and tried to enjoy our time there, but we were deeply disappointed in the layout and how this operation is run. We will not be returning again. We will take our business elsewhere.

If I could give -5(minus 5 stars) I would). The rudest staff I have ever encountered and not very clean either Not wasting my time ever going there again with my children.
