The owners of this shopRite don’t know how to run a business people in line and it was only two registers -The self checkout had a line around the store. Every time I go there, I remind myself why I don’t go there all the time. Definitely, they don’t care about the employees they don’t want to hire more employees and they don’t care about their customers.

OMG!!!!!!!!!! I'm not sure, but this Market ( Shop Rite) in Hillside N.J does not honor the posted sales; is intentional or not? On several occasions the register did not honor the sale price for example today 8/20/24, the Tide was on sale for 16 and some change, but after putting in my club number the register still rung it up as 19 and some change. I did not notice it until I was by the laundry.

Hmmm... I had a $6 coupon loaded to the card, so when it didn't come off at the self check out, the cashier took me to the register to finish transaction. At first she couldn't figure out how to take the coupon off, so I guess she decided to just tell me that the coupon came off, and counted on me trusting her? Which of course I did! Thought it was a friendly interaction. But when I got to the car I realized the $6 never came off... So what was I supposed to do? go back in there and ask why did you lie to me? That's not a typical question needed in a customer service environment. This is why Acme is so popular even though they're ripping us off price wise. Nobody wants to be taken advantage of at a grocery store.

I went there and I got ground turkey, hamburger buns, and hotdog buns. I get home and I realize I didn't look at the expiration date. I look and it read July 26 it was Aug. 1st. They sell expired bread not even for half the price. Then it was time for me to make the ground turkey. I opened the pack and it was molding and was stinking. They're selling tainted meat. Be careful when getting your food from here.

My first time at this grocery store and it was clean packed and I was able to get everything I needed my cashier was Madison she was so kind and helpful and she is friendly and customer service savvy I’m glad they gave people like her representing this company she also told me to download the app for deals and savings thanks Madison you are awesome you have a bright future !!!

I purchased black bear american cheese from the deli department last week. I was wondering why the cheese tasted funny. I had Black bear cheese before, I don't remember it tasting like it did. I just thought maybe he put a difference brand of cheese under Black bear. Turns out the cheese was expired, and making my stomach feel funny. Never again will I go to this location.

Shoprite in Hillside is a very good place 2 shop if u want the usual stuff. But if u want cat crunches it's way 2 expensive. 13lb bag for $18 is way 2 expensive I'd say. Other then that it a nice place 2 food shop

Love this ShopRite. The employees are alert and courteous. They make shopping here a joy. I forgot my wallet this morning, and they put my groceries aside, and let me scan in when I got my wallet. Really efficient.

This shoprite is different from other shoprites ,,, don't feel like a shoprite or look like one from the inside..produce is small and don't bother with the cold cut deli.. you have to place order with that flat screen panel. The guy cutting would rather not cut your meat causing shoprite to lose business so I'll never get meat from there. It's only worth going for a few things not for BIG shopping

Night shift employees customer service is just horrible! Specially that colored lady in the front register (not the cashier) but the girl thats always standing next to her! Just some “I hate this job and my life vibes”
