“They take good care of pets here! I called the other day with urgency for my dog’s chronic ear infection and the girl Brenda made sure the doctors knew right away and quickly got me the medication I needed!”
“I took my cat here for what I thought would be her shots. Before the appointment, they asked for her previous vet information and gathered all of her records, which I really appreciated. The scheduling process was easy, and they even sent a questionnaire to get to know my cat better before the visit.
They took us in on time, and the doctor seemed experienced, caring, and professional. Overall, the service and communication were very good.
The only reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 is the pricing. It turned out my cat was not due for her shots, so the visit ended up being only a wellness exam, and I was charged $140. I understand veterinary care can be expensive, but I found that high for a wellness exam without vaccines.
Overall, good experience and caring staff, but the fees are definitely on the expensive side.”
“My experience with Dr. Morkos and his team is always amazing. His knowledge, professionalism and ability to diagnose and treat effectively is truly incredible. I’m also so grateful to the staff for being so kind and caring at every visit! I always feel so comfortable and at ease and so do my pets!”
“Had an issue with a hanging tissue and the Doctor consultation and guidance was honest and transparent. I have seen other vets trying to over sell and make money out of you and I was so happy to find this place for my ageing dog. “This was my first visit with my dog, George, and i had a wonderful experience. From the moment we walked in, the entire staff and the veterinarian Dr. Jacob Pollock gave us such a warm welcome. George is very shy and nervous around new people, but everyone was so patient, gentle, and kind with him. They made him feel comfortable and treated him with so much care. I am truly appreciated the compassion and professionalism they showed. I am so grateful to have found Essex Animal Hospital where both George and I feel welcome. Thank you for making our first visit such a positive experience!”

“I can honestly say that I have never trusted a veterinarian as much as I trust Dr. Levine. He is incredibly caring and compassionate, and he always takes the time to explain what is going on, answer questions, and make sure you understand all of your options.
What stands out to me most, though, is his honesty and integrity. I have never once felt that he would recommend a test, procedure, or treatment unless he truly believed it was necessary and in the best interest of my pet. That kind of ethical, thoughtful care is incredibly reassuring, especially when you are making decisions for an animal you love so much.
It is very rare to find someone whose medical judgment you trust completely and who you also know genuinely cares about your pet. I feel extremely fortunate to have found Dr Levine and cannot recommend him highly enough.”

“We can't recommend Village Animal Clinic highly enough. Our cat needed a dental appointment and a possible extraction. Annie at the front desk was kind and friendly and was also great at communicating everything we needed to know. They gave us an estimate that showed the low to high range of possible final prices. The work was done wonderfully and they shared before and after pictures with us. That alone would have earned a recommendation, but the fact that their pricing is excellent seals the deal. Our previous vet had quoted us almost SIX TIMES what we ended up paying at Village Animal Clinic. The treatment and attention to both our cat at to us could not have been better. If you're looking for a vet, go here!”

Joy needed emergency surgery, and as a pet parent, I was absolutely terrified and overwhelmed. From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly kind, compassionate, patient, and informative. They took the time to explain what was happening, answered all of my questions, and made sure I understood what Joy needed every step of the way.
What meant so much to me was that I was never asked for money upfront before they treated her. They focused on taking care of Joy and making sure she received the emergency care she needed. At a time when I was already scared and emotional, that kindness meant more to me than I can put into words.”

“The best animal hospital on Staten Island, hands down! Dr Lynn and Dr Salemi did everything they could to take care of my baby boy. They listened without judgement and gave me honest advice that aligned with what we needed, (NOT like most other places that offer things you don’t actually need for money). My boy was in great hands in their care and I can’t thank them enough for the amazing service they provide. The front desk people (ALL OF THEM) are incredibly kind and helpful- they always helped me right away with a happy tone no matter how busy they were. “I had my first visit at VIP Animal Hospital, and I couldn’t be happier! After some bad experiences with my previous vet, I was searching for a new place, and my neighbor recommended this office i’ve definitely found my go to vet.
The doctor was straightforward and no nonsense, which I can appreciate. He was thorough in his examination and even opted not to administer unnecessary vaccinations, showing me that he genuinely prioritizes his patients and pets well being over upselling services. The techs were incredibly caring, understanding, and kind, and the receptionist made me feel welcome.
The pricing was more than fair, and I was in and out quickly without ever feeling rushed. Overall, it was a fantastic experience! I highly recommend VIP Animal Hospital to anyone looking for a reliable, compassionate veterinary office.

“Dr hoey is the best veterinarian. She is smart, intelligent, kind and goes over all details and has such great experience and professionalism. You would be lucky to have her as their vet. It’s been a long time since we’ve had a new young puppy and she reminded us of feedings, bathing , all shots needed, and just a lot of details in taking care of this new baby.”

“Dr. Messina is one of the best veterinarians I’ve been to. I’ve had dogs my whole life and she is knowledgeable, compassionate and understanding. Dr. Messina helped me through a euthanasia which could’ve been so much worse but it wasn’t because of her and I’m thankful for that. I brought my other senior dog to her and Dr. Messina worked out a pain management program for him and it was a relief not to have to put him down. I can’t not mention Bill who has patience of a saint and is extremely personable. Dr. Messina and Bill are a great team. Definitely bringing my girl Penny to her as well!”

“These people are saints for their service to animals. I've seen what they end up putting up with on a day to day basis waiting there and am in amazement of the team's generally positive and helpful attitude. I wouldn't last a minute. Please follow the rules and understand that they are in place to be able to serve the animals they help in volume, not YOU. If you are going here, you have to understand you are doing so in common service to animalkind. If YOU want to be pampered and coddled, there are plenty of places in the greater metro area that cater to you. If you want someplace that is clearly doing the right thing for the animals we share the earth with, this is it. Bring donations, ask how you can help, understand stewardship.
