I have had a citibank account for decades. You can expect zero customer service at this branch. I understand why there was no customer service during Covid, but it has not gotten much better. I'm seriously considering closing my Citi account after all these years because I can't deal with this branch.

If I can give em a zero I would, they should close this bank if they don't want to work

Super slow service, unless you here just for the counter services. Probably worst experience with citi so far, prepare to spend at least one hour for anything, some reps are missing basic knowledge.

The Hoboken Citi branch is great. My case was very complicated. I visited two other bank branches that did not help me fix my problem, but the Hoboken branch from the onset was very helpful. The banker, Mr. Bonnitto Campbell, diligently handled my intricate case with persistence and patience until he successfully resolved it.I am most appreciative of his professionalism and kindness.

I received a very informative and helpful phone call yesterday from one of your employees, I believe his name was Mark. He answered all of my concerning questions, gave me insight on the process and was patient and understanding. I am definitely interested in continuing working with this company. Thank you once again.

This branch employee has no basic knowledge of banking. He bothers the customer, but it ends in failure. Dont go this branch

This Bank is a mess. Branches never answer their phones. Customer service is always confused.

Please avoid this branch at any cost, long wait times, limited staff. The only reason I went to the branch was because it did not allow me to do my transaction online and asked me to go to a branch and the staff could not sort it out. Try the Clifton branch if you have to which is slightly better.

This bank is horrible, nobody here does their job , some of the coworkers here attitudes are disgusting , the manager doesn’t help with anything he sides with his co workers without hearing the full story .. my account was closed because i was racially profiled and claimed i was depositing too much money in my account which they thought were fraud lol and they gave me a hard time giving me my hard worked money .. worst bank & branch ever .. dont ever bank with them or come here . I wouldn’t recommend this bank to anyone.

Could improve on their service. Don’t bother making appointments to meet with someone. They accept walk ins and so you end up waiting a while.

The banker who helped me to open an account has stepped away for more than twice. I was told that my driving license was expired. The “expiration date” which is actually the issued date.

Strongly do not recommend! This is the worst bank branch I have ever met. I have been a Citi Gold client for 30 years and have always been absolutely happy with the service. So I wanted to open a new bank account for my nephew at Citi Bank. We came to this branch 3 times, all 3 times there were no customers at all. Nevertheless, we were not accepted at all or made to wait a long time. And when they finally accepted, the branch manager René Mondol and the employee Mark were incompetent and unable to simply open a new account. With the same documents, we came to Chase, and in Chase we instantly got everything we needed. It is because of such incompetent employees Citi Bank is losing customers.

Download a movie before you come in and take a full day's PTO. Or better yet just go across the bridge to NYC. Told on the phone I would be in and out. First day, it took 45 min to attempt open a new account (not even succeed!) when i already have another one with them...they didn't bother telling me until 45min in that they need a social security card or W2. So wasted 1 hour. Told to come back. Day 2 - here at 840. Door opens at 905 like day 1. 1 personal banker is on the phone about her email not working and then asking IT about why her voicemail isn't working because I can literally hear her from where I sit (waiting) less than 5 feet away. No other customers from 9am-930am. 932 - her email and her voicemail finally works so she can see me. Again, this is for opening a simple account.I would presume that if there are tech issues they are fixed before or after working hours or another terminal is provided for the 1 personal banker. But clearly Citi thinks having customers wait 30 min is better.Account opened at 1010. 1 hour 10 minutes... she asks if I want to come back in to transfer funds from my old account to the new one and connect my credit card. Excuse me? Come in for another 1.5 hours of this? I said no. She grimaces but calls in. I'm given no explanation about the folder of documents or my new account. She tells me to go to the teller to transfer the remaining funds and close out the old one. Amazing customer care. At least the teller managed to transfer my funds in ten minutes like a normal transaction. Total time spent on visit #2 is approx 1.5 hours. Total time? Approx 2.5 hours to open a new account and close old one and learning that the staff would rather call about voicemails/emails w IT than resolve a customer's issue on time.Lovely. This is as bad as the DMV. I will be going into NYC next time bc even w the path train, it'll be faster. At least they will be able to open an account for you within 1 hour of speaking with them or tell you if you need documents within 15 min so both of you don't waste your time.I have main accounts w FRB and TDBank and some ebanks . I can tell you I have never experienced this level of bad customer service. I'd go with one of those- FRB, TDBank or Marcus/Barclays. Higher deposit interest rates/lower mortgage rates, never had a fraud issue with any of them, and they can open an account in less than 2 hours + 2 trips to brick and mortar... only reason to keep Citi is to be able to transfer to a Citi Korea account w less fees but if you don't need to send or receive money from Korea, save yourself time and money.

Terrible branch. There are never enough people working. Bank elsewhere.
