  The ladies at Metropolitan always do my nails with care and attention to detail. I love that it's a family run business and the owners are so kind! The prices are the best in Hoboken and the space is clean, welcoming and usually not too crowded. Highly recommend!

  Metropolitan Nails is the absolute best! Not only are Bumi and her technicians perfectionists in their craft, she and her husband John are genuinely kind and welcoming to all who walk in. As others have mentioned, they greet most clients by name, often remembering their kids’ names too, which says so much about the personal care they put into their business. Their hours are convenient, prices are reasonable, walk-ins are always welcome, and best of all—the nails last! There’s a reason they’ve been in business for 20+ years. Highly recommend!

  They even let me play my music so I can rehearse and sing before a gig. We have so much fun.They care deeply.

  I will say, this place wasn’t all bad! The staff was extremely friendly and my pedicure looked good! But what I can’t get over is the lack of cleanliness practiced here. Not only did they not use liners on the foot tubs, but they also did not use new, sterile tools. And because of this, I did get some kind of fungus or infection on one of my toes. Definitely not safe practice when working with nails!

  They cut your nail instead of cuticle, and charge you extra for taking longer time on the same service. Please stay away from this store if you can.

  I walked in at 11 on a Saturday with toes that looked prehistoric.... rolled out with a gel manicure and an immaculate, dry pedicure 1 hour later. Price was lower than my usual salon in Chicago. Owner allowed me to tip on my card, then handed me my tip in cash to hand to the technician. Nice!!

  I live in LA and every time I'm in New York City I truck over to Hoboken to my favorite nail salon. I have been going here since my 22 and 24-year-olds were babies, of course I lived in Hoboken. It's still the best place.!!

  The ladies do a wonderful job here, I get both a manicure and pedicure and my wife appreciates how clean my hands look. I have had three women who have worked on my hands depending on which day I can get there. Shout out to Ava, Angelica and Rosa! You're all wonderful, my wife loves you guys as well. We will see you in the New Year!
