aisles 2 and 3 always a hot mess. who ever works in HBA for those aisles need to work harder because it's always a mess when I look for a specific hair dye. items are always in the wrong place with mismatched prices. it's ridiculous.

Poor customer service. Wanted to do a price check on a certain item and I saw the price checker screen mounting on a post and attempted to do a price check by placing the barcode of the product underneath the scanner. When I place the barcode of the product under the scanner nothing happened. There was a store clerk in the next aisle, who look like she was changing the prices of certain items on the shelf. So I asked her if she could come take a look at the price checker, and instead of doing so, she told me that if the price checker wasn't working, I should go and use the price checker adjacent to the customer service desk. When I went to do that, I found that that price checker wasn't working either. I was scanning the barcode of the product underneath the scanner and nothing happened. I couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong. At that point, I felt like just leaving my shopping cart there, and leaving the store. However, I really did not want to do that, so I went to a cashier who didn't have any customers, can I asked him to do a price check for me. Thankfully he did.Another complaint I had was that I couldn't find another product I was looking for, which was body powder. So I go to the customer service desk, and there's a guy there not doing anything, so I address him by saying "hello". He does not respond; I wasn't too surprised. Anyway, so I ask him what aisle can I find body powder. And he says "body powder"?, as if he never heard of it. So another associate walks up, and he asks her where I might be able to find body powder. They both giggle, and she finally says for me to check either aisle five or six. So I end up finding it. But to not say hello when a customer greets you, and to act like you never heard of body powder, I just don't get it. So, overall in my view, this store has poor customer service. The time of this visit was approximately 9:00 p.m., so hopefully the store manager on duty at that time will see this review. I've been to this ShopRite before and never had a problem. I don't live in the area, but when I am in the area and am in need of some items, I stop there.

I use the self service station. The woman Jamie that handles that area is a complete sweetheart

Shout out to Janet and the crew in the Bakery Department! I picked up over 100 pumpkin pies for a Thanksgiving event and Janet helped me to get them safely into my vehicle. The pies were fresh and delicious! I highly recommend this bakery for the products and the great customer service! Thanks again Janet!

Refurbished it a few years ago, place is great. Even the sushi and huge liquor store and bakery. Don't bother with the parking lot, people always bypass the street parking which is plenty wide.

I have been to this ShopRite a few times. The grocery store is big with ample parking available. The store is clean, well lite, and well stocked. The prices are on par with other stores in the area. However, the checkout lines suck. There is only a few checkout lines and even fewer cashiers. They tend to push everyone to use the self-checkout line instead.

My favorite place to shop in Hoboken. ShopRite has everything you could possibly want. They usually have good sales going to so make sure to take advantage of that. I will say the deli section usually has a line and is a headache to navigate. Other than that the place is cool. I like the bakery too since it has a lot of freshly made treats. The checkout lines move quick too so no need to wait in line. The other positive is they have a big parking lot which is usual for Hoboken. Love this spot. Check it out.

I've shopped here for a decade and it has gone down hill slowly over the past year to finally hit rock bottom and I will NEVER go back. They have probably half of the employees in there that they had years ago, the store is a WRECK. The people ahead of me in SELF check out had water all over the belt and used their own paper towels to clean it. Like, what the heck is this? They had one woman manning the fifteen self check outs (YEAH RIGHT) I left my reusable bags in the car (ok my fault) and bought four paper bags. The paper bags were literally see though and wouldn't hold more than a couple items before ripping. WHY BOTHER selling a prodding that is useless? The old brown bags were fine, but again, cutting costs so corporate can make more money, screw the customer. My shopping cart wheels locked in the parking lot and there was literally NO ONE working outside to help me. I left my full cart by the entrance while walking to the car end of the lot to get my car and hope nobody took my bags. It's embarrassing that we are taken for jerks. Like you just throw the food on the floor and laugh as we scramble to pick up the garbage you're offering us. I am never going back to this store. Never ever again.

Hoboken Shop Rite is excellent supermarket shopping. It's consistently well stocked, even popular on-sale items. The staff is efficient and helpful--from the top to the bottom. I had a difficult time setting up an on-line shopping & delivery account recently (the corporate website is not particularly user-friendly,) but the Hoboken staff patiently helped me in the middle of a very busy day. The store is clean, well lit and easy to navigate. The produce, meat, and dairy department products are generally fresh & bountiful, and the organic & specialty selections are expanding all the time. I do regret the reduction of cashiers and the expansion of self check out, and hope that doesn't continue And last but the least, the prices and sales are great. Thanks. Sheilah Scully

This Shoprite is pretty good, VERY busy on Sunday! I ordered a birthday cake and it was excellent. They usually don't run out of stock if they can help it. They have self check out which is good for most. I walk here from JC heights so, its exercise for me also.

I love the store. I have been going for 12 years in this exact location. But all of the Inserra Owned Shoprites have a great sense of management.

Hoboken Shop Rite is doing its part in helping spread the virus. While other grocers are enforcing mask rules and distancing (Trader Joes) Shop Rite lets employees flout the rules. I've seen employees, especially stocking clerks, with masks around their neck and brushing within a foot of shoppers - not caring at all. Shameful!
