Your liquor store has been our go-to for weekly needs and for stocking up during our annual summer and holiday parties. The staff has always been friendly, helpful, and good with recommendations.
Over the years, we were consistently advised by staff to buy a little extra for events, just in case we ran short — with the understanding that any unused, unopened, and non-perishable items could be returned the next day for store credit. We appreciated that flexibility and planned accordingly.
But today was a different experience. When we tried to return a few items, we were told about a restocking policy we had never heard of before. On top of that, the staff didn’t seem to know the details and had to contact the accountant instead of speaking with a manager. There was even some question about whether the items were returnable at all, which caught us off guard given the history. We had our receipt and the alcohol was delivered by your staff last night!!!
After 6 years of loyalty and following the advice of your team, we left feeling dismissed, confused and disappointed. What had been a dependable relationship ended with poor communication and a lack of clarity.

Have long been of fan of Sparrow. Was disappointed they changed their discount policy on 12 bottles from 20% to 15%. Womp womp.

Great selection, but rude and unhelpful staff who seem to always be shocked that people actually want to buy stuff when entering a store. You could be doing jumping jacks or something in front of them & they still wouldn’t acknowledge you. When they do acknowledge you, they act as if you’re a burden to them and are unnecessarily hostile. Nearby Gianone & Wine Dads are better experiences despite the less optimal selection.

I visit frequently and always leave satisfied. The level of service is outstanding. Mayra is so kind and helpful. She is always recommending something new to try. I stopped by on Xmas Eve and Mayra still ensured I had everything I needed. Def one of my fav spots in Hoboken!

Myra is the best. Always friendly and very knowledgeable. Though they did not have the champagne I was looking for, they do have a wonderful selection and wide variety.
