“Just wanted to add to the excellent reviews Im seeing here! Dollar Tree in the Marketplace on 34 is such a pleasure to shop at. I stopped going to the other ones for the most part, and at times go out of my way to shop at this one. I can tell you the reason its so awesome -in addition to it being clean & fully stocked- PAUL the manager! He is a hard worker who genuinely cares about his store and his customers. He is a joyful person that brings joy to others! He creates an atmosphere of, instead of this being a huge chain store, its rather like he's the owner of your "corner store in the neighborhood" you grew up in. Kinda like at Cheers where everybody knows your name..haha. He is just a really great guy who makes you feel welcome. I feel its him and his dedicated staff that keep people happy & coming back! Its really more than just a dollar store. There's a real sense of community that Paul's touch adds this place!!”

She then suggested trying Hobby Lobby where I was able to locate what I needed. I will definitely return because of their great customer service. Highly recommend.”

“I had to visit a few times to really appreciate this store. You can find some pretty awesome deals if you’re there at the right time. I usually like to stop here for snacks/frozen section. Lots of organic quick meals for my toddler and also quick stuff for my teenagers. Great place for cheap candy and beef sticks. And for low carb/keto diets. Lots of Lilly’s brand for baking and expensive sugar substitutes for cheap! I left this store one time with a whole 5 pack of lunchables for 1.99$! Sure, they were gonna expire soon, but with a toddler and two teenagers, they’re gone way before that! My last visit I got a whole huge cart full of stuff for 200$. Don’t sleep on this store and visit once and say ehhh, give it a few tries.”

“I've shopped Big Lots for years. Their main thing now is furniture, which is not mine, but still have some bargains in other areas. Inventory in other items is not as extensive as it used to be I understand to some degree, but if you want people to shop brick and mortar again, you have to have inventory. I don't like computer shopping except on rare instances. So I shop where inventory levels are up. Still, this store is clean and organized. I still go there for certain things, but not as often as I used to.”

“I can't really complain at this location, decent prices when your looking for certain items.... it's just a matter of them being in stock. And, It's not the employees of said stores fault. They get what they get. These stores are corporate run. Sure the store is messy kinda, but look at the times we're in. A PANDEMIC, that just has ramification after ramification. They're short staffed. But they HOLD UP TO THEIR JOB AND DO THEIR BEST! As Best They can!!! I see it, and I applaud it!!”

“This store is huge compared to other Dollar Generals I've been to. And it's a lot cleaner and nicer than the one on Rte 36 and Main. The Rte 36 store has more clothes, but at this new store you can seriously find just about anything else you'd want. As far as food, they have all the dry and canned foods you would expect to find, plus more. I'd say that they have more ethnic foods and ingredients than other Dollar Generals. Now, what surprised me was their refrigerated and frozen section. It runs the whole length of the store. A lot of the coolers were soda and other drinks, (I'd say too much lol) but there's still room for a LOT of other things. If you live in the 'burg don't waist your time going out to the highway, try this one first. And remember, bring your own bags!”

“I am a frequent shopper in multiple locations near me however I was in the Holmdel N.J. location where I encountered a young lady cashier with an attitude there is a single line where you are called to a register to check out she said something about #4 but was at another register talking to another employee so I said "I'm sorry excuse me did you say that you are open on register #4" she responded with an attitude that she was on #4 and proceed to continue talking with the other employee finally she came over to the register and started to check out my items by throwing them at me while I was bagging and then stated that I was unable to take the cart out of the store since they have a pole in them I advised her that all of the other cashiers allow me to remove the pole go and load my items into my car then return the cart back to store and reinstall the pole back to the cart; since I am disabled.She kept saying that "I said that you can not take the cart out of the store"I paid for my items and went to leave while trying to remove the pole she started screaming for the other employee who came out yelling at me and that I can not take the cart out of the store I explained that all of the other cashiers allow me to take it out and I return it back to the store and reinstall the pole now both of them are yelling at me that I can not take the cart out of the store now I had to go back and forth in the pouring rain bag by bag.This is absolutely ridiculous just because your employees don't want to go retrieve any stray carts from the parking lot.Due to this I will not be shopping in here any longer.”
