Loved this place. Warm, friendly, attentive, professional and just plain AWESOME. I've been around and used other veterinary hospitals and no one compares to this one. This is the best!

I hope by writing this review it can help other dogs. When my dog's heart murmur was first detected, I specifically asked the Dr. if I should take my dog to a Cardiologist. Instead, the Dr. said, "Let's see how the medication does first" and my dog was prescribed Pimobendan on March 14, 2020 for her heart murmur. The Dr. noted in my dog's records I declined a Cardiologist consult when she prescribed Pimobendan for my dog. My dog's records prove what the Dr. noted in the records is untrue. It was later on that I found out from the Cardiologist that Pimobendan is not used to treat heart murmurs. The Cardiologist wrote a letter stating that my dog never should have been on Pimobendan for her heart murmur and explained what this medication is used for. This is the letter from the Cardiologist, "We actually do not use Pimobendan to treat heart murmurs. We use Pimobendan to help decrease heart enlargement or help to strengthen the heart. Therefore, we don't just use the murmur as an indication to start the Pimobendan, but we actually look at the radiographs or echocardiogram to see if there is any evidence of heart enlargement or the heart becoming weak." Also, my dog was misdiagnosed and prescribed Gabapentin for seizures on Sept. 8, 2020 and she wasn't having seizures, but syncopal episodes. If your small dog coughs, falls over and recovers quickly from this it could be syncopal episodes as seizures would last much longer. My dog had her Pimobendan dosage increased on Nov. 18, 2020 and Gabapentin dosage increased on Oct. 20, 2020 when there was no need to be on these medications. My dog was never referred to a Cardiologist even with the increase in medications. On April 14, 2021, when a change in my dog's heart murmur sound was detected, I made the decision to take her to a Cardiologist. I described to the Cardiologist exactly what I described to the Dr. (cough, fell over, only lasted a few seconds and fine right after) and the Cardiologist knew right away these were not seizures, but syncopal episodes. My dog was also taking CannaPet and the Cardiologist felt that the CannaPet was exacerbating her fainting spells. The Cardiologist recommended discontinuing CannaPet, Pimobendan and Gabapentin. As soon as CannaPet was discontinued, my dog no longer had fainting spells. Sadly, my dog passed away at the age of 14.5. She lived her last 5 months free of unnecessary medications and fainting spells. If my dog had been referred to a Cardiologist when her heart murmur was first detected, she never would have endured everything that happened to her.

The best vet's office ever. Have been a faithful client for about 30 years - with all my cats and dogs. Amazing doctors, staff - all high-class professional.

I wouldn't take my pets anywhere else!! I had a bad experience at Marlboro Animal Hospital with my English Bulldog around 12 years ago.. My daughter told me to go to Bayshore Vet.. what a pleasant experience with Dr Micki Moniello.. she was so caring, gentle & compassionate.. She explained everything to me and did not try to sell me anything extra.. Prices are totally fair.. My bulldog lived for 12 good years.. when it was time to put her down due to age related issues, Dr Micki was there with my whole family.. It was such a peaceful & calm experience. We now have a shichon and even with Covid restrictions they are very accommodating for our visits.. Everyone who works here is very professional.. The best!!

If you want a vet that traumatizes your loving family pet and brings them out bloody and scared- then Bayshore is the place for you. My dog has really bad anxiety with the vet due to terrible past experiences. I warned them he will be calmer with me there but took him alone. I brought him in for an illness. Instead of examining him for treatment, they cut his nails too short causing them to bleed everywhere. They did nothing to stop the blood. When this terrified him they threw a muzzle on him instead of getting me. They brought my precious dog back out upset, bloody and with no diagnosis for his illness. I'm disturbed by my experience. The doctor was cold and rude instead of empathetic and concerned. I recommend you all to go anywhere else. These people are incompetent and cannot be trusted alone with your family pet.

We went to a different vet for years and I guess they were good but I always felt I was overcharged for everything. My dog needed a minor surgery and I was told $1,000 and general anesthesia. I took my dog to Bayshore, $225 later and a local, we were on our way home. Went today. They are as knowledgeable and trustworthy as anyone and fair with their prices. I highly recommend them to all.

Staff extremely professional and friendly. Dr Rich was incredible and understanding. I had to have my 14,year old ShihTzu euthanized due to kidney failure. The staff were exceptional and helpful. Offices are immaculate. Highly recommend them

Staff are friendly, welcoming, caring, competent and sincerely helpful. Vet and staff go beyond the call of duty to make you feel supported and insure your pet's needs are met. Extremely helpful with helping me comply with pet travel policies to Japan. I am so grateful to them for their commitment to quality services! Thank you from the bottom of my heart! See you soon.

Brought in my guniea pig to have his teeth grind down and got back a Guinea pig that could barely breath. He died hours later. Now we lost our precious little one, my sons are devestated and I had to pay 400 dollars for this horrible experience. Never should have happened this way! They should have done better

I am so very happy that I found Bayshore Veterinary Hospital. Having used the same Vet for nearly 40 years when I lived in NY, I was of course nervous about making a change. All of my fears disappeared once I entered the doors of Bayshore. Everyone was very friendly, professional and kind. Dr. Mickie was reassuring about the care my cat would receive and she answered all of my questions. The groomer did a wonderful job as well. I would say that I found my NJ Veterinary Hospital for sure! It's about an hour drive from where I live, but well worth the trip!

I just moved into the area and based on Yelp and Google I decided to try this vet clinic. I have an elderly cat with many issues. I went the other day and the staff was fabulous as well as the doctor. They seem to be reasonably priced (close to what as t I paid at my former vet) and I would recommend going here for your pet's care.

Well, this is a new one for me. I've really never rated anything other than restaurants. However, I was pleasantly surprised when I saw that this Veterinary hospital was so highly ranked that I had to go. Once again, YELP has helped me in getting top service from the business that was ranked. And now on to the review of Bayshore Veterinary Hospital. First of all, parking is great. There are plenty of spots. It's a bit tricky to get into the parking lot, but after your first visit, it will be much easier. When you walk inside, you are greeted by some of the friendliest techs you will ever meet. The place is immaculate. There is coffee and if I am not mistaken, treats in the form of animal cookies that you can give your pet. The techs are super cheery and make you feel at home. My appointment was at 10.30. My cat and I arrived at 10.23 (this was the first time there, and the tech had to do additional paper work) and we were in the examination room at 10.30. That was surprising because I knew there was going to be additional paper work. So far so good! We got into the examination room and I let Shelly out of the carrier. She hates the car and had an accident in the carrier. The tech immediately took the bottom of the carrier and left to get it washed! WOW! That was awesome and unexpected. Bravo. The doctor came in and couldn't be more upbeat and couldn't make us feel more at ease!! She did a checkup of Shelly who has never been to a vet since I got her from the rescue, which was in 2010. The check up was thorough. All the time the Dr. was playing with her and making both of us feel very comfortable. I just found my new vet. I will let anyone and everyone know about the expert care and attention you give to each and every animal that comes in. If you haven't gone here, I would HEAVILY recommend you go to Bayshore Veterinary Hospital

I have the angriest, most aggressive dog imaginable. Don't know why but he is and I love him the same. Bayshore works with me so that I can get him his shots and other medical exams...and recently his teeth (which actually needs sedation) They know of his aggression and work with us so that we can get him there and make it possible for an exam. LOVE this staff as much as they LOVE our big fresh baby Lil' Angry!!
