I’m very disappointed with the post-operative care my dog, Benito, received.
On Jan 13, Benito had surgery to remove growths from his eyelid and ear. Within 24 hours, he stopped eating and drinking, cried constantly, and developed diarrhea. I called the office and was advised to let him eat treats and drink water. No exam was recommended.
By Jan 15, his ear had a strong odor with discharge, and he was clearly in pain, crying and scratching. I contacted the office again but was still not asked to bring him in. No instructions to even clean his ears. They said to just keep giving him the meds.
On Jan 16, Benito had bloody stool and worsening symptoms. I was told to pick up probiotics and food. That night, he developed labored breathing and severe distress, so I rushed him to an emergency hospital.
At the ER, he was diagnosed with a fever and double ear infection and treated immediately. Benito is recovering now because of the ER care. I wish an earlier in-person evaluation had been recommended to prevent days of unnecessary suffering. Beware!

Wonderful and knowledgeable staff. Great with my dog. Will continue to use this vet.

They care for my dog Tucker and recently he had an ear infection, so we had to bring him back a few times to administer his medication in his ear, and they took us in immediate every time.

We have been taking our dogs to see Dr Vogel and Dr Peltier for many years and I would never consider going anywhere else!
The office staff is very caring and always listens well to my concerns, they have always been able to get us in quickly for sick visits. I also feel that I am never pressured into costly tests or treatments there like with some other vets.

Outstanding organization, friendly & competent, doctors and staff took good care of my dog, with a reasonable price too, I wish I started bringing my dog here years ago.

We moved to Jackson area recently with our 2 year old rescue mutt. Took a chance and tried Jackson vet since the old vet was really far now (and I didn't really like the team). I am seriously upset that I didn't know about this team sooner- I would have driven across town for appts anytime for the calm loving experience they provided. I didn't read the reviews before I made an appt and reading them now I am not surprised in the least bit that most are 5 stars. Rocky is a nervous dog and can get aggressive in stressful situations. He was scared but the way the tech and the Dr handled him was amazing and as soon as we were done he was all wiggles and joy! He forgave them instantly 😜I was so nervous and then so relieved that I forgot to get the name of the tech...thank you for helping put us all at ease and for a fabulous first visit!

I called to confirm an appointment a few days ago for the 18th since i received an email that said the appointment was on the 5th, but it stated to disregard the appointment time on the email. The front desk said to disregard the email and my only appointment is the 18th. i get a call from the front desk the 4th and they say you have an appointment the 5th & 18th. I had to reschedule and the lady i spoke to was not the nice in my opinion. The doctors are great! Ive never had a problem other than this in my 6/7 years of going here.

I would love to give these people a 5 star review but their front staff is horrible! The vets are great but I wish that the people who take the appointments would be a little more courteous to the customers. Almost every time I attempt to make an appointment the receptionist seems to only know the word “no” because she doesn’t even wait for me to complete my request before saying no. They should absolutely consider getting better customer service in their front end.
