“I have to say, Seasons Kosher Grocery completely blew me away.
First, let’s talk about the gefilte fish. As a Jewish man who grew up eating my grandmother’s homemade gefilte fish, I thought I had seen it all. Then I walked into Seasons and saw their giant gefilte fish patties. My grandmother never made gefilte fish that size! I honestly couldn’t believe it. Even better, it wasn’t just impressive to look at—it was absolutely delicious. Tender, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. It brought back wonderful memories while giving me a completely new experience at the same time.
The pastrami was equally outstanding. Thick-cut, juicy, and packed with that classic deli flavor that keeps you coming back for another bite. It tasted like something you’d expect from one of the great kosher delis.
And then there were the cowboy burgers. Wow. These are not your average grocery store burgers. They were incredibly flavorful, cooked up beautifully, and tasted like something from a specialty butcher shop.
What impressed me most is that Seasons manages to combine quality, freshness, and authentic Jewish foods all under one roof. Whether you’re shopping for Shabbat, a holiday, or just looking for an amazing meal, this place delivers.
Five stars without hesitation. The gefilte fish alone is worth the trip, and that’s something I never thought I’d say after a lifetime of eating my grandmother’s cooking!”

“Shloimy’s Kosher World is one of those Lakewood institutions that doesn’t try to be fancy — it’s just real, it’s heimish, and it gets the job DONE. You walk in and you already feel like you’re in middle of a “Nu, what do you need for Shabbos?” conversation — even if nobody said a word yet 😄
First of all, the selection is a whole olam. Bulk stuff, meats, groceries, baked goods, homemade-style food — the kind of place where you can come in for “a quick thing” and somehow leave with enough to feed a small yeshiva for a week. And the prices? Let’s just say your wallet doesn’t need a mashgiach temidi here — it’s not getting attacked like in some other places.
The vibe is very old-school Lakewood: practical, no nonsense, and everyone’s moving with purpose. Especially Erev Shabbos — it turns into a full sugya: carts weaving, people speed-walking like they’re late to Mincha, and the checkout line is basically a chaburah where everyone’s discussing what they’re making and who forgot what. If you come at peak time, bring patience… and maybe a shtikel mussar 😂
Now I’ll be honest in a respectful way: it’s not always “five-star hotel lobby” sparkling. It’s more like… working grocery, busy, real-life. But if you’re going there for the essentials, the deals, and that heimish “I know what I’m doing” shopping experience — you’ll be very happy.
Bottom line: Shloimy’s is a Lakewood classic. Great for stocking up, grabbing Shabbos basics, and feeling like you just accomplished something big — even if all you did was buy chicken, rolls, and ten things you didn’t plan on. Recommended!”

“For the most part I do like Aldi: the prices are good and the cashiers are respectful. I also like that Aldi cares enough about their employees that they have seats at their registers.
One complaint I do have about the Aldi in Freehold is they don't keep track of expired products for sale. The pic of the Scrapple that expired on Nov 13 was taken on Nov 16. That whole box of Scrapple had packages that expired on Nov 13.”
“If you're looking for a pleasant wide-isle experience, with many options for the Kosher consumer, Gourmet Glatt is the place to shop. The bakery & meat departments have good quality (I didn't try the take-out, fish, and sushi departments).”
“Spanish grocery store. A little pricy, but good if you need to grab a few things locally without going to a larger supermarket. Good selection of items, especially if your looking for Spanish brands. Staff is friendly, and speak enough English to get by if you do not speak Spanish.”

“ALDI in Toms River is basically the definition of “do a quick run” that turns into a full-on haul… for the price of a coffee and a danish. ?
This location is clean, organized, and set up in that classic ALDI way: you walk in, grab what you need, and somehow your cart is full of things you didn’t know you needed (hello, random seasonal aisle). The prices are legit, especially on staples — dairy, produce, snacks, pantry basics — and the store-brand stuff is often surprisingly solid.
A few pro tips for anyone who doesn’t live in ALDI:
Bring a quarter for the cart (yes, it’s normal, yes, you get it back, yes, the first time feels like a shidduch shailah).
Bring your own bags or be ready to bag in the car like a seasoned professional.
The checkout is fast — like, fast fast — so have your payment ready unless you want to do that awkward “hold on one second” shuffle while the line grows behind you.
The staff here are usually friendly and efficient, and even when it’s busy it moves along pretty smoothly. Parking is straightforward, and it’s an easy in-and-out for a weeknight grocery run.
Bottom line: if you want good quality basics, great prices, and a no-frills shopping trip that doesn’t take your whole day, this ALDI is a win.”

“This place is great. The owner is always there and super nice, the butcher always says hi, and the cashiers are friendly. One time the young man at the register offered to bring an elderly woman’s groceries to her car. And they always have what I’m looking for with good prices.”

Seen some of the negative reviews regarding the deli and i disagree. Deli is great. We are human, no one is perfect. But they put a good effort and thats good enough for me. If you think you can do better then work there and talk with action.

“This is a great option for anyone looking to buy Latin American products, fresh, packaged, or frozen ✅. I loved finding traditional Peruvian products, such as yuca, olluco, chicha morada, and yellow chili peppers, as well as Peruvian cookies (morochas, casino, etc.) 🫒🥕. The store isn't big, more like a mini-market, but it's well-stocked, and the layout of the aisles and organization of the produce are similar to those in Latin American countries, which creates an emotional connection 💖. I also appreciated the friendly and courteous service. The store has three cash registers and an express lane for 10 items or less 💵. They accept credit cards, debit cards, and cash. There's parking available next to the store (not very large), and I noticed two accessible parking spaces ♿. The entrance door is automatic, but that's about where the accessibility features end. There's room for improvement regarding the cleanliness of the parking area and the store entrance. 🧐 Recommended.☑”
“This Shoprite might not be very big but it's the absolute best in my opinion. The new chef they have working the food service department has turned the department into prime food to go lunch spot. The fried chicken and hot bar entrees are high quality and professionally prepared. Since the addition of the new chef and the well training he gave his crew, this place has really come up and gotten on track. I really hope they have him running the food service department when the new Manchester Shoprite goes up on Rt 37, not too far after the circle. Do your self a favor and stop in for lunch, they do not disappoint. ????????”

“This supermarket is one of my favorites. It’s always clean, spacious, and really well organized. Their takeout is consistently fresh, and they truly have options for just about anything you might need.
What really makes this place stand out are the small details—like offering smaller carts for quick trips and hooks on the sides of carts for bags. It just makes shopping easier.
They’re also incredibly convenient with their hours, open early in the morning when most places are still closed and staying open late. Overall, a solid 5-star experience every time.”
