The best staff. Grace & Christina and all front desk people will help you with any questions re your animal care. The doctors are professional, caring. The techs and assistants are wonderful. And all the workers have animals at home, there's a display wall of their pets. Makes you feel more secure.

I have been going to this office for 16 years. I’ve had 4 dogs under their charge. The care that my dogs have received has been nothing short of top notch. Both Dr Norby and Dr Chesney are amazing. Dr Chesney has been our main vet for at least 12-13 of those 16 years. I wouldn’t think of ever bringing my dogs anywhere else.

Today was my first time at this veterinary clinic. I called, hoping to get my cat in on Monday at the earliest but they had a cancellation for noon and I was able to make the appointment so I grabbed it. The front desk staff are warm, personable and accommodating. Dr Childs and the tech Max, were friendly and good at putting this cat mom at ease. Lol. Dr Childs was exceptional with providing information in a way that I as the patient could understand. I actually felt empowered that I could administer the medication given to me for my cat. LOL excellent clinic.

My pets, past and present have been going to the Tudor practice since the early 90s. I can't imagine going to any other veterinary. To top it off, they take 1st, 2nd & 3rd place for the best Veterinary Halloween spirit & decorations. Great job ladies (you know who are).

Downtown Veterinary Associates at 282 First Street is one amazing veterinary location in Jersey City, NJ. The vets and staff are professional and.caring to pets and their owners. I have had four of my pups visit over the last few years. I trust them implicitly when I bring my pets in to be checked out.

I am so glad that this place is walking distance from me. When I started going, it was only when our regular vet couldn’t accommodate us same day - which downtown veterinary associates always does! Now it’s my preferred place. I’ve taken 2 dogs and 4 cats in the past 5.5 years. Each doctor has been knowledgeable, kind and patient. I’ve never felt like they are pushing me into unnecessary tests or treatments. I highly recommend them!

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE EVER! Really Bad communication! They promise you an appointment and then take you off the schedule with no call or email or anything. Then when you call, the girl answering the phone has a bad attitude and says, “Well I don’t know what to tell you, You should’ve called us” as if it’s my responsibility to call every single day to make sure we still have this appt. Then the Emails they send are damaged and unreadable. But the 1st and only thing they want to know is PAYMENT PAYMENT AND PAYMENT!! Asked absolutely no questions on what’s wrong with my cat , didn’t even want to know the urgency of this matter. I would NOT RECOMMEND this place AT ALL! They do not care about our pets AT ALL!!

I'm visiting from Texas and noticed my cat Ilana start to sneeze a little early this morning, (which is very unlike her) and I freaked out! This was the closest vet, so I called and the woman that answered was helpful when I explained about Ilana's sneezing. She wasn't able to give me medical advice, understandably, but she did advise me to have her seen and offered to get me set up with their office, I decided not to because we are going back home tonight.Thankfully, I was able to get her an appointment with her vet at home tomorrow! But if Ilana ever needs to see a vet when we come back to visit, I'm bringing her to this location.Picture of Ilana attached.

I scheduled an appointment for my 13 year old cat because his is vision off and movement with gingerly.During the three visits, same day the assistant and doctor asked the same question and repeated for second time. And the third visit another assistant gave same questions. Notes weren't taken to be reviewed professionally. Follow up inquiries on second or third visit would've been great to help me not to forget any details. The second doctor mentioned 3lbs of lost weight. No it is okay, since he's getting older or resolution as a response. A call from a third doctor with blood and urine results were good. Next step I was advised to visit an ophthalmologist a few days ago.Today I followed up to set an appointment and didn't know there wasn't an ophthalmologist on board at DVA. The initial scheduling called on second to last weekend of June to be seen on Monday, if it was an emergency go to the ER as an option. I didn't receive email of specialists from doctor. Only received emails of visits for current ailment. The front desk has been hospitable and sent list to another email. This list wasn't given to in the beginning. Felt the funds for this visit could've gone to specialist.About the three years, my cat had (UTI) blood was in urine and prescribed food didn't help. They couldn't see him and gave a list of specialists/ERs for operation. I called around with no immediate availability. Went directly to a Manhattan ER and couldn't be seen until I made an appointment with their doctor at a much later date. Literally cried on that cold and rainy day. I called DVA with dilemma, they were able to get owner to do operation again had to be booked out. This goes to those who get overwhelmed with the urgency or the feeling you're not taking care of your special being(s)...know there's a solution to make it better somehow.I hope this helps someone in your pet health care.
