Another review from Bruttus here—your local Jersey City resident just trying to help you navigate the shopping chaos. Thinking of heading to Forever 21? Here's my advice: do or don't.
Don’t—if you’re not prepared to be rushed, crowded, and essentially hustled to the counter by the female staff, whose energy could rival a Black Friday stampede. As other reviews suggest, the attitude here is far from welcoming. The female employees don't just hover—they swarm. And when it’s time to check out? Expect your items to be tossed onto the counter with the kind of aggression that feels personal.
Oddly enough, the lone male employee stood out for his patience and professionalism, which only made the contrast more glaring. But even that wasn’t enough to drown out the sharp tones of the female staff, who I initially mistook for annoyed customers. Overheard from one aisle: "Are y'all finished yet? Like seriously," paired with judgmental glares aimed at an elderly woman calmly making her way to the counter.
The clothes themselves? Fantastic. But if you’re planning to shop here, I recommend going early on a weekday morning. Fridays and Saturdays seem to bring out the worst in the staff’s behavior. But despite it all, these people are probably tired, hurt—who knows. As a wise snail might say, if you do not enjoy what you do, a change may be in order to achieve what makes you more comfortable. Dealing with retail and the people around can sour your view on how to treat others, and I hope, in time, they learn to be less quick to act so rudely.

The staff is really rude and differentiates between customers...they didn't provide me with a reusable tote bag although they had in stock and as per my bill i would qualify for that...
I also specifically asked and made separate bills still

I came today to return my jumpsuit. They haven’t accepted the return saying tag has a problem. The service is always worst. Today the person(male) at the counter was so rude and didn’t accepted my product which costs too much. I hate this forever 21 service. When employees are unable to provide proper service its better to leave the job. I hate the employees.

Ordered a pair of shoes online. Realizing I ordered the wrong size, I brought them straight to the store for a return. The cashier pointed on the shoes, said I scratched it, so they cannot be refunded. In fact, the shoes were never opened - I opened the package in front of her, on the return counter. How on earth could I have damaged it?

I walked in and I got to the door and they were closed at 6:45 PM when the mall does not close until 7 PM it's very unfortunate. I could not have shopped there because I had an event to go to and I really wanted to dress from there. The girl told me that they were close by 6:30 PM

I wouldn’t recommend this store for the plus size girlies. This stores plus size section is extremely small and limited. It’s messy, it’s disorganized and everything is mixed up they just threw this section in the back of the store next to a cluttered clearance area. You don’t even know where to begin looking. No different variety of clothes either just casual dress down wear. Go to Jersey Gardens if you’re looking for more Plus Size friendly and fashionable clothes!

Worst manager ever in this store, one of the items bought didn’t have the tag bought a week ago, I have the receipt and everything and didn’t want to exchange you when he sees that the other items did have the tags. Bad service.

Forever 21 is FOREVER AUTHENTIC AND CHEAP! NICELY ARRANGED STORE... The markdown areas are too disorganized but overall the staff are friendly!

I actually found stuff in here that's plus size and I paid wonderful prices as well!! Only downside is that the store is a little messy/ unorganized as I only found 1 cute shoe that's a size 11 and couldn't find the other one. Other than that I was happy with my purchases.
