Be careful they over charge you especially for their meat. Their groceries are also priced on the higher end than other stores near by. I also found a lot of flies around their meat.

Bangladeshi store in New Jersey! Got halal full chickens and beef from here. They have crockeries from BD, the Kiam ones, deshi paratas and guess what, deshi “jharu”s too!

We've bought goat meat from there and it's been great quality! Had also bought shrimp on one occasion - while they were a great size, it was pricier than what I usually procure.

I've been ordering from Hilsa for about a year now as they're the only place I've found in Jersey City that delivers goat meat via Mercato. I always have a great experience with them, but the last time - not so much. They missed a few of my instructions and included liver bits, which has never happened before and added to the weight, so I ended up rating the order a 3/5 as I was quite disappointed.A few moments ago, they called me to accept full responsibility for messing up the order and refunded the amount for the goat. They also updated the website to make sure other customers don't run into this issue. I learned that they're a small business run by a very lovely aunt, mom, and daughter Nori (Nory? Sorry for the misspelling!) and they're always welcome to hear from their shoppers. They run Korai Kitchen as well - which is another great gem in JC. It was the sweetest interaction I've had with any customer service and I truly appreciate the extra mile they went to rectify the situation. Will never stop ordering from them and will tell everyone about Hilsa!

They have very good products but often they do some adjustments in cost and weight… be aware.. have faced this 3 times… make sure you check the weight and check the cost they put in the system. Overall ok experience

There are very few butcher places that are clean and well-maintained. technically it's a small grocery store which is mainly dealing in Bangla food items... On this block, there are many fish-meat shops, but they are either not maintained or items are they sailing- not up to date.We have been on the wrong side of the deal many times so we are very cautious about which store to choose. We found this store, been there a couple of times, and found that not only items, even fish are quite fresh. We come from Parsippany, especially for the rohu & Hilsa (Illish) fishwhen I say fish- these are fish that comes from south Asia and normally other stores - they keep sailing 'not so good ' fish.they even have 3 types of fish cut, tell your reference and you are good.apart from fish- they also have many items (mainly for Bangla-speaking households) and they have a good range of them. My Bengali wife is happy now, happy Wife, happy life ;)What impressed me most is that they maintained their shop in a very good way. (trust me this is not a common scene)

Very good to get bengali fish and geocery items. The price is good there. Earlier I used to go to bangladeshi fish market store, but that was a bit pricey. This shop is now my favorite choice.

I was visiting friends in NJ and stopped there to pick up some ingredients for tehari. The store was clean, organized and well stocked. I found the items I needed and the lady at the counter was super nice. I would highly recommend this place.
