The entire team at Newport Veterinary Center deserves appreciation for how sweet they always are with their patients and their humans, particularly the vet technicians who always give my sweet cat the best scratches and tell her how cute she is. My cat has a laundry list of health conditions, and every vet I've taken her to at this center (three so far) has been attentive and extraordinarily patient as they answer my many questions about how to manage her ailments. On our last visit, they even called to offer me an appointment after another patient's cancellation on a Friday so I could take her to be seen for an ongoing issue before they closed over the weekend. Their communication is excellent and they do a pretty good job of advising me of the cost of blood tests and other services before we decide on a course of treatment. Highly recommend!

Newport Veterinary Center has a special place in my heart. A few weeks back, I was in desperate need to get my hamster seen by a vet, and to no avail after countless calls to other places, I thought we were going to lose her. It wasn’t until I called this location that I felt someone actually cared. Right away, I felt the warmth and compassion… and luckily they were able to promptly help…Showing so much kindness, even for a little hamster life. Our Nibbles was very sick, but thanks to everyone we got precious extra time with her and I’ll be forever thankful. Thank you so much.

The staff is always friendly and visits are quick. Prices are expensive even for routine visits.

Newport Vet Center is a happy place for my dog Sonny. Sonny always gets pampered with love, treats while getting top notch medical care. The staff is friendly and accommodating of any last minute schedule changes. Would highly recommend taking your pet to the clinic to optimize your fur baby’s health

I have been taking my dog to this vet for the past two years. The new receptionist, Maxwell, is very friendly and accommodating. Doctor Doyle is the best vet I have ever had. He is very patient and knowledgeable. He answered my plethora of questions very thoroughly and showed genuine care for my dog. He also gave me some good advice to follow. I highly recommend anyone in the neighborhood to come to this place!

I take all my dogs here and by far this is the best vet center I have trusted my pups with. They are always one step ahead by staying on top of our dog's schedules for vaccines and visits.

I have only had good experiences here. I have been coming here for 12 years with dogs and cats. Dr Doyle and Dr Dolan are excellent, as is the whole staff.

WORST VETERINARIAN EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD: From the moment I stepped into my very early morning appointment, being ignored while walk-in after walk-in were taken care of over me, to being seen MORE THAN A HALF AN HOUR LATE, from being given tests that I adamantly told the assistant I DID NOT WANT - that I only wanted the mandatory vaccines - to getting home, realizing they'd charged me for the tests I asked NOT to be done-- then being told they'd call me back on Monday, then being called on Monday to be told there was nothing they could do about the tests I DID NOT ORDER and REFUSED TO REFUND, to being told they would follow up with a resolution (it's been weeks, they have not called back) to, most importantly, feeling VERY UNCOMFORTABLE with the very aggressive handling of my dog-- I will never go back here. To say this was disappointing when I was excited to meet the vet in my new Newport community is an understatement. The only person who was kind was the vet and she was also the only person who apologized for the long wait time first thing in the morning. Everyone else was dismissive-- to say the least, including the assistant who - at one point - put up her hand to stop me from speaking when she asked me a question. My dog was scared the entire time like I've never seen him before. Unfortunately, his instincts were spot on.

I'm not much for writing reviews, but I had to say a few words here. Dr Dolin and the team at NVC were so kind, gentle, comforting, during our beloved dog's last moments. It was not lost on us. Even though they only knew our pup a short time, well, I was so comforted by their empathy, their kindness, I just...I'm not good with words, and all I can say is, I wouldn't have done it any other way. These people truly, truly, truly, truly love animals. It is in their hearts. It radiated from Dr Dolin, from the whole team that day. They shared our tears. Compassion is real here. If we ever do adopt again someday, hands down this is our family vet. Their kindness and empathy touched me so very deeply. <3 <3 <3

Nicole the receptionist refused to let me speak with or hear from the doctor. The doctor also refused to take a break from making phone calls to determine whether or not he can see my cat. I’ve been being seen at this hospital for a few months now and every time I need to schedule an appointment they have no availability for weeks and suggest other hospitals in the area or the emergency group. My cat has a known history or gastrointestinal issues and has been in distress for days following an incident Newport is aware of. I’ve already taken him once to the emergency hospital this week with 0 help from Newport. They have no regard for the well-being or health of the animals they treat and only consider their precious schedules (which by the way change every week) they work hours as if they aren’t in the medical field but rather an arbitrary office job. This place is a joke. Go somewhere else in the area there are plenty more hospital to choose from

if you need a vet for annual control and vaccine only, then yes.But if your pet has a problem, whatever (backache, toothache, vomiting, loss of appetite), they will tell you that the next available appointment is in 2 weeks. Totally unhelpful cold front desk staff always refer to emergency in Hoboken.

Vet tech did not read my dog's vaccination history so he does not know what is due. Almost missed one of the vaccine. Missed her heartworm prevention treatment. Doctor is very cold in answering questions. Only good thing is the front desk staff. Disappointed.

Very thorough and compassionate care for my cats. Feel respected as an owner and that my pets are getting the best care.
