I've lived in Jersey City for a very long time. I live near Christ hospital and regularly used to go to Pintos Pharmacy located at 161 Palisade Avenue, Jersey City 07306. The owner is Kirtan Patel. It is high time that someone needs to investigate this pharmacy and it needs to be shut. I am not the only one who has suffered at their hands but many people. It is just that I finally decided to raise my voice and hope that you as officials of Jersey CIty will look into this matter seriously and bring justice. Kirtan Patel's right hand man, Christopher Lugo sells meds and other drugs without script. They have been selling meds for a very long time. I am a retired man and I have seen it all at this pharmacy as in the beginning I used to spend time with Kirtan Patel playing the lottery and chit chatting with him for hours. Kirtan and Chris would tell the patients that they would give them all the meds that they need but they have to tell their insurance companies if they investigate that they are paying copays when they were actually not paying a dime. The more attractive girls/ women that came to the pharmacy the more it was easy for them to get Ad*****, O*****, many such meds without script in lieu of either money or spending time with them doing favors. After 7:00 pm they shut down the pharmacy, girls used to come with a lot of alcohol and they stayed there doing dirty business till late at night. Chris once told my daughter that he can get her any sort of meds that she needs, she just has to go to her personally and no one else. He gave her his personal cell number and asked for my daughter's phone number. He even told her that she is very cute looking. My daughter at that time was minor, did not know how to react and she left saying that her dad cares for all the meds. When we confronted him, and told him that we would report them, Kirtan and Chris told us that they can help us out with expensive Diabetes meds without any payments if we keep our mouth shut. They manipulated my plan into billing so many things that I wasn't even using. Needless to say, I switched to another pharmacy. I will be reporting them to the pharmacy board and other authorities so they can launch an official investigation against them Chris is a cashier but claims to be a pharmacist. He dispenses meds regularly. The actual pharmacist, is always high on drugs, never in the right state of mind and has no information about meds.

The staff were extremely kind and helpful with answering my questions about medication that was subscribed to me by my doctor. The customer service was 10/10. I definitely recommend this pharmacy!

Terrible local pharmacy. I made a mistake of having my doctor send an important prescription to this pharmacy since it was the closest one to me and I NEVER get prescriptions so in this rare occasion I figured it would be best to a pharmacy closest to me. This pharmacist gave me a medication my doctor didn't even prescribe. Thank goodness I actually read it.My doc was very clear with me about my prescription, she explained there was NO generic version and that she would give me a manufacturer's coupon for a discount since the med is expensive. She also explained that she would write that in the notes for the pharmacist.Well, this pharmacist did not care to read my doc's notes and instead gave me some other medication (remember: there is NO generic version of my prescribed med so this is some random, kind of related med). They legit gave me a random med, charged my insurance for it, charged me a $5 copay-- it was only when I returned to inquire why the hell it wasn't the med my doc prescribed that they explained what they SHOULD HAVE explained from the beginning when they first called me.I'm having my doctor send my prescription elsewhere.

This place is a dump, mice droppings on the floor, disorganized, over priced, rude staff and appears as though it could be a front.

The staff is very rude, they keep yelling at my 73 yr old mother every time she calls, it’s unprofessional and never send her meds on time, which is a health risk.

Pintos has been our go to pharmacy!First, this week the man told my wife her prescription plan expired, I called plan administrator to find out it wasn't..called back and Imeana (sorry for killing the name) fixed it, after an hour of calls.Second, Me, they told me my prescriptions were not sent over, called waited on hold for doctor office, the office called Pintos and it's a miracle it JUST CAME OVER FAX!! B... S...!NOW, the worst turns out our 80 year old dad was given wrong medication, took Prozac and seroquel for a month, it was not his prescription!! When called, they said they WILL PAY CLOSER ATTENTION!! SERIOUSLY???What is happening Pinto's, this month tooo many mistakes at the risk of your valued customers!!
