PNC Bank took 9 overdraft fees of $36 over last weekend for 3 small purchases totaling less than $5 total from my friend who struggles with PTSD and was finally getting out of a physically dangerous living space. But because she started to panic, the bank customer service reps called the police to our address. PNC had no right to do this and they caused a violent situation that we have to recover from. Worst bank ever, PNC!

Only giving this Bank 1 star to warn you of this location! The 2 ATM's are located inside of bank. So anytime after 5 PM (When the bank closes) your on your Own! Good Luck getting or putting cash in the machines without stepping over several homeless people sprawled out over the floors for heat. They have camera's but don't address this dangerous matter. It's really a shelter in the evenings. The fact that I've addressed this issue with managers several times before mean nothing! Perhaps this will get them to gain control of their bank again! Did I mention the $36 overdraft fees they charge? You've Been Warned!!!!!!

Terrible. Gave them money to change. Machine jammed up. Their problem solving skills puzzling. Took them 30 minutes just to figure out who to call. They are trying to contact the person who is their superior but that person never acknowledged them. It’s terrible when the employees can not get any sort of assistance from upper management. Way to go PNC.

Awful service. PNC has almost no ATM’s anymore, you can’t deposit in downtown JC past 5pm, or over the weekend. As a small business owner, everything takes 5x as long as it should, and the branch reps argue with you instead of helping. Oh, and the fees on business accounts just went up. So… 0/5 stars, do not recommend.

This branch just keeps going downhill and is getting worse and worse with customer service. Now, the ATM is no longer open after business hours, which doesn't work for customers who don't work on the block during regular business hours. They only ever have one person working their counter lol. Need to deposit a check or exchange coins? It's at least a 10 minute transaction as the teller types in a thousand different prompts. Makes for a long, unnecessary wait in line.Need to use the ATM? They are regularly down and they can't even empty the receipt disposal bin between the machines. No attention to detail.Last Friday, before they posted a sign in the window announcing the ATMs closure, I was part of a group of 4 customers swiping our cards, trying to get in. They DID NOT post the closure sign, until weeks after they devote close.Lastly, how can you trust a bank where the video monitors display crashed Windows screens for years? Nobody could reboot the PC or simply turn it off? It's so unprofessional. How can I trust this bank location with the little details on a mortgage when the bank manager is OK serving customers a crashed computer screen FFOR YEARS!?!? I've been a customer at this branch for almost two decades... as more and more people are flocking to this area, why do they keep cutting back?

One of the worst Banks ever so apparently you have to have an account just for them to give you change for any bill makes no sense any other bank will give you terrible that's why they're always empty

The best banking experience I have had in a while. Aida is the face of PNC. I went there to bank, but instead received an experience. Warm, kind and professional.

I been waiting, told to wait and see them help others. On top of that, they are chit chatting as if they don’t have customers

I forgot which scummy "disruptive fintech" company had smug subway ads mocking bank branches for giving away pens and suggesting that Covid proved branches aren't needed. Maybe you're more tech-savvy than this writer, who was annoyed about giving up a BlackBerry for an iPhone. Maybe your own finances are Dogecoin-only. But if you're entering an actual bank branch, this is a good one, with super-nice workers, two ATMs and impressive PATH proximity.

The manager is very rude and unprofessional with terrible attitude. She was unable to verify my account and refuse to serve after few tries. Before I left the room, she spoke loudly to the another staff "I can't verify him" just like it was my problem. For anyone who has problem with your account, do not come to this branch. I called customer serivce right after I left and my problem was solved with friendly and professional service.

The branch manager and entire staff of this Bank is completely unprofessional inexperienced on knowledgeable and disrespectful. Before going to the bank I made sure that they would honor a check drawn on their own bank the branch manager actually looked at the check and said we're sorry we're going to have to charge you 2%. I said fine I just need the funds now. I go to the teller and she says oh we don't cash insurance checks hahaha. This secret policy really screwed up my day and I hope no one does business with these terrible people.

My very first bank account was at first merchants in Asbury Park where as a child they gave me top notch service , remembered who I was and opened up an account for me which I used for years. They were ultimately gobbled up by PNC. At the time I was working for Morgan Stanley. Thankfully I didn't need them for anything. They have a number of terrible policies which are poorly executed and communicated by incompetent employees. They seem to really take pleasure in screwing you over. They seem to giggle when they said they're going to charge me 2% to cash their own check but they became extra thrilled when they wheeled out their secret policy that they're not allowed to cash insurance checks! These guys must receive extra bonuses if they fail to honor their own checks.
