The bank has the worst customer service. Despite being enrolled in paperless statements, they still charge a monthly statement fee. They refuse to acknowledge system issues and instead place blame on customers. Even supervisors lack the ability to communicate effectively with customers when the fault lies with their own system. After couple of arguments, he reversed the charges.

They do not seem to have senior level experience dealing with Probate Cases. (i.e family administrator access to deceased bank account) They lack basic knowledge on what documents are required or government web site. Best to hire a lawyer versus dealing withg these people

Beware, Provident Bank will recommend their investors, Provident Investment Services, and Cetera Financial Investement. They prey on older adults. One of their investors, Mark Senofonte, placed my Mother's total savings in a very risky real estate investment. Since legally he could only invest 10% of her total savings he inflated her net worth to over a million dollars and he also claimed she had investment experience that she didn't have. She trusted him because he was sitting in the Provident Bank and she felt she could trust the bank. Mark Senofonte and Cetera Investments have a large number of complaints against them. Provident Investment Services and Provident Bank has ruined my mother fincially.

This bank branch has some very ill-informed staff. 6 months ago I was told I needed to physically come into the bank to transfer my IRA funds to Vanguard. Now when I came into the bank, I was told that it needs to be done electronically and requested by Vanguard not Provident. It was only after I made a stink that they educated themselves of their own bank policies. Turns out even if I had requested an electronic transfer as they suggested, the antiquated processes at Provident would have taken 3-4 weeks to complete. Provident requires original copies of things so , by asking vanguard to do it electronically, I would have to fill out a form, mail it to vanguard, who would then mail it to provident to initiate the transfer. By then my window to transfer my funds would have closed. What a inefficient, antiquated and ill-informed bank! I was a teenager when I opened the IRA, as an adult I would never be duped by such an establishment!
