Tom agreed to do income taxes for me and my fiance.I mentioned I would need a backdoor Roth IRA and an estimate on how much additional taxes we would pay if we had been married filing jointly. I sent him online instructions with screenshots for filing a back door Roth IRA.I called Tom today to go over my refund, the backdoor Roth IRA, and the married filing jointly figures. I offered to pay at the beginning of the beginning of the call prior to receiving any answers to my questions.I asked a question to make sure my backdoor Roth IRA a) wasn't being taxed as a distribution b) didn't affect the married filing joint estimate. Tom got upset, said I was confusing him, and declined to do my taxes.
