We were shopping for an entrance door for our home, and had actually purchased one at Home depot. While not being the exact door we were looking for, we were short for time as the installation as part of the project was near. A friend of mine suggested going to Home Surplus in Keyport N.J. and had mentioned that Michelle Hunt had helped him purchase a kitchen and design it with him. We went to Home Surplus with 4 days remaining till our project was about to start, and found the door there that we had been looking for. Michelle was very helpful with planning the door, as well as the staff who were additionally helpful. They actually build the door jambs onsite to the configuration you need. Ours being a single door with a side light. The door came out beautiful, they had it ready in 2 days and delivered it to coincide with the installation date. I highly recommend visiting Home Surplus for your building or renovation needs.

What a fantastic experience! Shannon was truly top notch and was the embodiment of what a customer service experience should be. She was approachable, friendly, knowledgeable and helped us out tremendously. Even with bumps in the road she was honest and had a reasonable solution for us for us before even calling us. My husband also dealt with the manager Jen when he did the pickup of our vanity and he said she was very helpful and solution oriented as well.
We will definitely be back and have already told our contractor, local friends and family about what a great experience we had.

Went to Home Surplus for a bathroom vanity. We worked with Shannon and she was great. Gave us good advice and excellent service. When I returned to pick up the vanity, it was damaged and there were no more in stock. Shannon and her manager, Jenn, went above and beyond to rectify the situation. I look forward to returning there.

Just finished a work up on 3 separate areas in my home with Aleksandra Mendes.
An entertainment wall, foyer entry cabinet and dining room table bench with storage.
Aleksandra spent a good portion of her day helping put my visions into reality. With all the changes and variations we put together she never blinked an eye and was very accommodating and kind.
These spaces will add the look to my home that I envisioned since I purchased it.
I can't wait to get started on these projects and look forward to the laundry room next!
I highly recommend this for contractors and DIYer's.

Researched online. Purchased online. Pre hung double French doors. Home Surplus answered questions immediately. I got notice just a few days later that the doors were shipped! Very quick and painless! Can't wait for the next project to start!

Aleks - the salesperson that helped me was great. She asked questions to help the design process; came up with a cost-effective design. the cabinets arrived on schedule and look very nice. I had a filler piece that we wound up not using. Returning it was super easy. Very courteous and knowledgeable staff.

Aleks is unbelievably talented ?!! she designed the whole kitchen and had such great ideas and suggestions; she was wonderful to work with and so patient. I Love what she did .
