I brought my dog here after he was adopted. The first visit was during Covid, and I wasn't allowed inside. A staff member came out to get my dog, and was a bit rude. I brushed it off until she told me that due to breed, he may be muzzled. I told her he was both people and animal friendly thus far, and a 5 month old puppy. No reason to muzzle him. I was told it's up to the vet. At the end of his visit, the vet did come out to speak to me and there were no issues. The following year, my dog would have been due for an annual visit. I called to schedule and they told me if there were no issues, he would be seen bi-annually as he was not due for vaccines. Although reluctant, he was healthy and happy so I accepted their response and figured he would go the following year unless any problems arose. I called to order his flea and tick medication during this year but needed to bring him to be weighed in order to ensure an accurate dose. I brought him there to get a weight, and was turned away being told I did not call in advance to schedule this. Ridiculous. I then brought him to pet smart, and ordered his medication online. Fast forward to December 2023, I called to schedule his yearly exam. I also received a reminder email that he was due for a heart worm test as well. The staff member that answered the phone told me it is not necessary to bring him in and they will push the test to the following year. I said no, and requested an appointment. The woman became nasty, telling me there was no reason for my dog to be seen. I persisted stating they had told me the previous year that it was unnecessary, and the at I want my dog properly cared for and for his necessary tests to be run. The woman became even more rude and nasty and told me if I wanted to waste my money, they had a Wednesday am appointment and that my dog would not be seeing the vet, and only a tech. I again requested a NORMAL appointment. The staff member became even more irate, and yelled. She stated "I was one of those, and if I want to waste money and over vaccinate my dog, I should take him to TR Animal Hospital". What relevance shaming another business had is unknown to me. At this point I informed her that I would never be bringing my dog back to their establishment, as she is both unprofessional and rude, and to print his veterinary records as I was coming to pick them up. I called a new vet, and scheduled accordingly. Upon his first appointment, I was provided with a copy of the veterinary records that were received from Forked River Animal Hospital. In there, this woman had the nerve to add notes, stating that I was rude, etc. and demanding of an appointment that she (NOT A VET) deemed unnecessary. The staff here is rude, unprofessional, out of line, and argumentative. Don't bother even trying to speak to the veterinarian/owner about it, as you will not receive a call back. Unfortunately, it is not worth wasting your time or money to come here. Go elsewhere where the staff is welcoming, and actually enjoys PROPERLY caring for your pet.

I cannot say enough nice things about Dr. Force and his staff. They are professional, friendly, and willing to go the extra mile. They have been taking care of our animals for more than a decade. One of our female Persians had to have a surgery and they took excellent care of her. She is happy, healthy, and good as new.

I really wanted to love this place as the reviews were so good. The Vet himself was very knowledgeable and I appreciate him, and the receptionists were decently nice, HOWEVER, the assistants that helped him xray my dog were nasty and miserable. My dog is very scared and anxious and because she was annoyed from having to hold him down for x-rays (sorry but thats your job) she dragged him while sedated from the table back to his room because she didn’t know I was watching her. he couldn’t even walk and was being dragged. I was absolutely appalled. besides the fact she did this as the vet just confirmed he has a cancerous tumor on his nerve in his leg (clearly he’s in pain) I’m still disgusted months later. I will never be going back here until they hire employees who like their job. it’s a shame because the vet seemed nice but his practice will suffer from his miserable employees who have no compassion or regard for anyone else. Save yourself time and find an establishment with people who will treat your animals right when you aren’t watching.

The vet techs in this veterinary clinic are very rude and do not treat the animals with compassion. I took my dog for his checkup and to cut his nails but because he was very stressed the vet gave me some medication to calm him down and bring him back another day. As soon as I was in the room the vet tech had a negative attitude because I fed him before the medication and nobody had told me I was not supposef to feed him prior to give him the medicine. When I asked the staff to be nicer I was told to leave the office because they could not take care of my dog without him being sedated and were extremely rude.

While waiting in my car to be called in for my pets appointment, the glass doors opened and two techs were carrying out a body bag with a deceased dog. I lost two dogs, in the past year ( one from cancer and one from a brain seizure). This sight upset me to the point I was going to leave. My furbaby was called and Mickey and I went in. Dr. Force told me that Mickey has popping knees. He didn't recommend glucosamine as my other vet did for my other dogs that have similar problems. He said this is common with Chihuahuas which I was aware of. Next he checked his teeth and said they were yucky. Down the road he would need dental work. Last, he said that Mickey has a heart murmur. On a scale of 1 to 6 he rated it a 3. Again, he stated that its common for this breed and to wait to see if it gets worse. I have another Chihuahua with a murmur but the cardiologist determined the cause of the murmur. He has to take medicine twice a day. I just adopted Mickey less than a week ago. Needless to say, I will be taking Mickey to our usual vet. I was looking for a vet closer to home for wellness visits and vaccines. My regular vet is 45 minutes away. Dr. Force was a waste of time and money.I have been a Chihuahua mom for 25 years. They are my loves.

He got it wrong twice on two separate occasions with my furbabies. He’s affordable but you get what you pay for. Bedside manner isn’t good and he rushes you out every time. If it’s basic needs, def affordable and makes sense but go to a specialist for something more serious and don’t trust him when he says he knows it all.

Took my dog in here for suspected ear infection. under Dr. forces watchful eye, the vet tech looked at both are ears with an iPhone and informed me, her ears were not infected having witnessed what I thought was a poor examination I made an appointment at the red Bank animal hospital in Tinton Falls. A veterinarian there swab, both ears, put the matter on a little glass panel and examined it with a microscope. She informed me that her right ear was indeed infected. it would not have gotten better without medication, two drops a day for two weeks. I won’t be returning to Dr.Force and the forked River animal Hospital
