It was a stormy Sunday. My sister, cousin and I thought, "what a great day to go shopping and look for graduation dresses!" The sky started to clear up, but little did we know a storm was about to come. And not one with thunder and lighting, one produced by the wrath that is Bow + Arrow. We walk in and see this little silk pink dress that my sister absolutely loved. So she grabs a medium and tries it on. She walks out in the dress and looks absolutely beautiful. It fit perfectly, was a great color, and I could see that she was very happy in it. An employee came over and suggested that she looked fat in the dress, then proceeded to grab a larger size. Her opinion was absolutely unsolicited because we all felt my sister looked amazing in the dress, but no, this woman had to offer her two cents. Now my sister, who was feeling self-conscious to begin with, feels even worse about herself thanks to this woman's rude remark. Obviously, sales workers are supposed to help their clients find the best fit, but the way in which this woman did it was just rude and hurtful. If we wanted the vile, demeaning commentary, we would have asked for it. Needless to say, we put the dress back and left, for good. We then walked down the block to shop at B&B where my sister found another beautiful dress and was not harassed by the workers. In addition to this, their clothing is overpriced for what it is.
