This store needs to order more copies of the Sunday New York Times during the summer. I went in today at 8 o’clock and it was sold out! And this only store in Lavallette that sells newspapers.

It’s a store that’s easy to walk to. They take Apple Pay. There some fireworks too. Wish they had dirt Mountain Dew though.

Literally no reason to ever go here, there’s a Wawa like a mile down the road, or even closer, a Rite Aid.

I would rather less, if fractional values were available. I've lived on this island almost a dozen years; and, for one reason or another, found myself (unfortunately) patronizing these, "people", somewhere near fifty times. I'm still waiting to be treated nicely, just once. While the angry woman may be justified under the rule of tyrants (doesn't make it easier to take); the "men" are just poor examples of customer care. Funny, because my wife is always telling me how nice they are to her. Perhaps her fairness trump's their dominant attitudes. She brought me a sandwich today, but I refused to eat it. I'm big on food prepared with love. Infer what you will.

Me and my friend Dominique (We are 14) went into the store. As we were entering the store, a short haired middle age lady with a nose stud was sweeping up with her baby girl and she was sweeping too( which was already giving us weird vibes). We asked upon entering if the store was still open. She says with an attitude saying “ what excuse me” without answering the question even though we asked twice to be sure in case she didn’t hear us because seemed unsure the first time about what we were saying. Not even ten minutes into being there, she rudely told to “Hurry up” because the story was apparently closing in 5 mins ( at around 9:30). WELL… when me and her looked up the closing time back at our beach house, we realized the stores online hours were listed as closing for 11 pm. Not only did we have a bad experience, we also got lied to by a person who looks like they have been working there their whole life.

BEFORE I START THIS IS A WARNING: IF YOU ARE UNDERAGE AND LOOKING TO BUY SOME NAUGHTY STUFF DO NOT BEG THE MANAGER 5 MINUTES BEDORE RHEU CLOSE TO SELL YOU VAPES IT WILL NOT HAPPEN There truly is something magical about this little lot. Brace yourselves for this one because it's 2:40 am on a school night and i have absolutely nothing to lose. I don't live in Lavallette but i do come with family every summer. it's been a tradition since my dad was little and we go for 2 weeks. So you can say we have a pretty good scope of things around there. Restaurants, stores, entertainment. you name it, we've probably been there at some point. Occasionally we come during the winter. We rent a house instead of staying in a motel because that would just be weird. Anyway. Everyone's favorite place to go to (especially my cousins and sister and i) was this here Quik Stop. It's what holds Lavallette together. the glue and brains of it all. After parking in the spacious parking lot and walking in you're greeted by the staff who treat you like family. like you've known each other for years. they're not afraid to strike up a conversation with you. There's a wide range of things to buy from such a small store. the size is what makes it all so comforting. there's magazines, toys, candy, actual foods, slushees, and vaping supplies. They always have the best stuff. Best in all of Lavallette. If you want it they have it. Come here after a beach sesh instead of Playa Bowls for some refreshing Boost! slushees in cherry and blue raspberry. sometimes the flavors change but it's unlikely. I won't share the good memories i've had in this store because that would just ruin them but just know i've shared many funny memories with my cousins in this thing. Sometimes the staff would get a liiiiittle bit annoyed. but they love us anyway. SOME PROS AND CONS: pros: Convenient lots of food nice staff (sometimes they can be in a mood) slushees (boosh/ Boost!) big selection of things cons: boosh might be shut down early some days so if you're craving that boosh get it early some of the customers are actually freakin crazy and might be old miserable crackhead lonely alcoholic men/women CLOSE TOO EARLY LIKE 10PM!! SO. my final word. Take advantage of your time spent here. buy that slushee. talk to the cashier. life is too short. dance in the corner and let the manager yell at you. i love this damn store. long live Quik Stop bitches.

While the location was convenient to our rental house, the prices here were outrageous. We stopped in to grab 2-3 things we needed for dinner and we ended up putting it all back and driving to Acme. $8 for a bag of shredded cheese? $6 for a jar of off brand salsa? No thanks...sometimes convenience isn't everything!

Great people who own an run this classic CONVENIENCE store. Almost anything you could possibly need or want to support your beach vacation. From daily staples like eggs bread sandwiches etc to a Fishing rod or crabbing lines. The family run and locals who staff it are kind courteous and friendly even in this time of uncertainty. This and Lavalette hardware are throwbacks to the old General stores of old with their inventory, friendliness and care
