The issue with this gym is that the majority of the equipment on the bottom floor is old. Free weights don't match and the cables on the equipment are broken all the time and they stay broken. They stay broken for as long as they are fixed. And then they raised rates. This problem can be fixed with attention to detail and equipment. I know they can do better time to put it in action. I do not think it's worth 80$ a month.

DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE to join this facility due to increasing the price at any time and the worst attitude of one of the staff name - Tiffany. My family has been with this facility for ages even before it changed its name to NJAC. My mother who does not speak English asked me to call the gym to inquire about the increase of the member fee.I left my number during lunchtime and got a call back with one ring around 7:20. So I decided to call back and got transferred to a lady named Tiffany who refused to give me her name and hung up on me. I had to call 5 times for her to pick up and accidentally leaked her name to me. (Because all staffs introduced themself while picking up the calls)Per my conversation with Tiffany, she FIRST blamed my mom opened the email at 9:05 am on May 1st regarding the increase in the price. However, my mom does not even speak English why did she send it in a different language instead if she assumes that someone agrees with it automatically? I still remember that I went to the gyms years back in to translate for my mom to sign her up at this place. Why didn't she look up the note before she sent out the email instead of trying to blame my mom for opening the email?! That's funny! One knows how many advertisement emails are in the inbox daily. My mother would be absolutely afraid to use her email if I told her this is what Tiffany said.SECONDLY, Tiffany mentioned that my mom was no longer a contact member even though she could see that my mom had been with the gym for ages. Tiffany mentioned my mom's contract had ended in August 2023 and it's not the sale's person or the gym's responsibility to notify the member. However, my mom has been with the gym for many many years and has never once been opt out of the contract. The contract always rolled over automatically for years. Why would customers know that you changed the game by being sneaky?Fourthly, Tiffany mentioned that even if you are a contract member. Her boss Jake or Jack (I don't remember the name) could "increase the price whenever he wants." These are the exact words that she said. I still could not believe what I've heard.Fifthly, the gym charged the annual facility improvement fee every year. If my mom is not an annual member of the gym according to Tiffany, why would the gym charged an ANNUAL FEE in every January??? According to Tiffany, the annual means "one-time ".Lastly, I would like to point out that under Google Dictionary the definition of "annual" as an adjective means "occurring once a year".

Good workout space with variety of equipment, a pool, basketball, badminton and pickleball courts. However, the pricing is slightly unreasonable. They kept on increasing membership fee. I started with about 39 per month and now it crept to 75 pm. This does not give access to all group trainings etc.

Extremely unprofessional and irresponsible people. Be very careful with the paperworks these guys do. They goofed up my cancellation and kept charging for the membership even after filling up the forms for cancellation. Now they are asking me to come again and fill up cancellation form.Very rude staff as well. DO NOT JOIN THIS FACILITY

I recently hosted a pickleball party for my mom’s birthday, and it was an absolute blast! The staff and Carol were incredibly accommodating and helpful throughout the planning process. The facilities were top-notch, with clean courts and ample space for everyone to play and eat comfortably. It is the perfect venue for a fun-filled and personalized event. To top it all off, they provided us with an extra hour of play and free day passes for our guests to return. I would highly recommend NJAC for any occasion!

DO NOT GO HERE. Beyond outdated, they added a pickle ball court when they need to focus on the women's sauna room thats been missing a door handle for years. Their parking lot is a flat tire waiting to happen since theres tons of holes. The equipment is beyond outdated and old, they're missing weights and majority of machines have rust. The sauna also is known for ants! The staff is always new and they wont inform you of any price increases. Avoid at all costs, the RWJ gym is near by and is the same cost and is beautiful.

I was really excited to sign up for this gym however I quickly changed my mind when the owner was extremely rude to my boyfriend and I during our trial visit. I understand there are certain rules that gym-goers need to follow, but the owner needs significant help with his communication skills and manners. I was torn between this gym and Lifetime but realized I would rather pay 3x the amount for a Lifetime membership where I'd probably be treated with a little more respect. The atmosphere is a bit strange and felt more like a library as opposed to a gym. It was so quiet and the owner stared my boyfriend and I down during most of our workout (talk about bizarre). On a brighter note, the front desk employees were incredibly welcoming and informative.

My husband and I were members of this gym on and off. What I liked about the gym was how big it is and this is why I added a second star to my review. However most of the equipment is outdated and broken. Staff kept telling me the owner had purchased new machines and that was clearly a lie. I've been to several gyms around the area and the Owner Ed had a problem with my husband and I carrying our gym bags around. He did not approach my husband nicely about it either. For the amout of money someone spends there monthly Ed should know how to approach people. Needless to say, I'm done with this gym. Back at Jersey Strong only paying 20 dollars a month and loving it!

If playing at NJAC pickleball courts, your skill level will decrease one by one. They changed their fee rate at any time without any basic business ethics. The customer service is terrible. Not recommended.

As the reviewer Ajay covered all the points I wanted to say . Just wanna summarize and say that, if you are looking to join this club as a dedicated Pickleball player with given pricing changes happening to the pickleball courts my vote would be a big NO.Do not join the club if you are mostly looking to play pickleball, all other amenities are included in the membership and they still advertise pickleball on the website and on their social media but they don't clarify that that would be at an added hourly fee unlike the other courts offered in the gym.We tried giving feedback at the gym but to no avail. So this will force our group of 25 odd pickleball players to cancel the membership if these fees aren't reversed.I will strongly suggest to evaluate your options before signing up for NJAC club membership if you are mostly looking for pickleball.

Tried as a guest for Pickleball and was planning to join in February. The courts have issues but were reasonable for winter play. Several friends joined already when they found out that a court reservation fee of $35/2 hrs will be charged on top of membership starting Feb 1st(it was previously stated Pickleball will be included with membership). Manager/owner don’t care about members need or if they leave. Needless to say all my friends are upset and planning to leave and I won’t be joining a club with such deceptive practices.
