“My car battery died at the pump at Costco yesterday and AAA and other tow services were backed up for hours and couldn’t really help me. Called Dave’s and he answered on 2nd ring (no painful automated message service/AI to have to navigate through) said he’d be there shortly and was able to start my car, even after Costco service guys were not able to, and got me out of there within a few minutes. Asked me if I was ok with driving it to a service location and for me to call him to confirm I was OK. Old school service and overall great experience and heartening to know that there are still these types of people still out there! Thanks Dave!”

My mistake for not knowing or even asking about the cost prior to dropping off my rim and tire to be changed.The tube stem was, as he showed me when I picked it up this morning, very corroded and therefore needed to be replaced (my bad for presuming motorcycles have tubeless tires).When I spoke to him about his charge being greater than my cost for the tire, he eased my concerns and we negotiated a price that I think is fair.He's a very personable guy,... yeah, I'd hang with him.Service: Tires”
“My car was making a loud, weird noise the night before I needed to drive back to Canada. Called that night and brought the car in at 8 am the next morning for what turned out to be a plastic piece that needed to be secured. In and out in less than 15 minutes and happily on my way -- he didn't even charge me anything despite laying down in the dirt to get up under the bumper! I had to insist on at least giving $20. The real deal. I will recommend to all I know in the area.”

“I have used Acres a few times in the past and its always been a great experience!
I just want to say, Ive seen numerous negative reviews on many local scrap yards pages and I honestly cant believe it! There are people complaining of scams or high prices but you expect to pay $0 for high end parts. You have to be reasonable and understand that they do not get these cars/parts for free! They pay top dollar so they have a good selection/inventory for customers like us! You complain of bad customer service, it’s the worst you’ve ever seen but you also don’t tell the whole story! You forget to mention the part where you as a customer badger the employees, call numerous times asking the same thing, attempt to negotiate a ridiculous price or give an attitude and disrespect them because you aren’t getting your way, not including calling for a parts availability and giving no info, wrong info or the bare minimum info and expect them to perform miracles and then when you arrive its the wrong part and put the blame on the business 100%. No one takes responsibility for the fact that you ask for a part for a year that’s completely different then the year you have then are upset when its wrong and tear the business apart when all they did was answer the question you asked based on the info YOU gave! Be realistic people! They are trying to make a living in this terrible economy and you kick them down every chance you get! Atleast they are out here trying to run a legit and fair business and provide the best service they can! You dont get your way and you have a fricken fit like a child and drag the business because they didnt let you take advantage of them or let you call them all kinds of names/talk down to them or let you get away with whatever you want! You cant come on to someone’s property and decide what you’re going to pay and tell them what you’re going to do! The customer isn’t always right like some of you think! Get it together! This goes for all businesses! We should be supporting small/family businesses and all I have been seeing is the opposite!
