I'd give 5 stars for the regular staff and their merchandise; the principal staff are always helpful and pleasant, and they have a good turnover of goods. Unfortunately, I have to take off 2 stars for their management's poor customer service. On my last visit in mid-December, I came across several jackets in the Men's section locked with a security cable. When I asked for assistance, a young lady was very helpful, unlocking them and standing by to assist. I tried on one item in particular, and it seemed to fit, but it had no price, brand, fabric content, or even a size tag - in fact I was really only drawn to it because it had a double zipper, but I couldn't tell if it was real leather or ultrasuede, like the one next to it. Worse, it had a hole in the side. When I asked, the young lady stated she would price it $64 like the rest on the rack, since it had absolutely nothing more to go on, and I could pick it up at the register. When I got to the register, the price tag on it was $550(?!) When I asked what changed, a lady in a head scarf came over and kept repeating loudly, "That is the price!" Apparently she was some sort of manager, but it was as if battle lines were drawn because I asked the question. I tried not to respond in kind and asked, what was the price based on? What brand was it? She stated it was an online return and kept repeating, "That is the price!" Okay, that seemed reasonable, if it was a return, then she could provide details, no? No. She provided no info that could allow a shopper to make a purchasing decision. She couldn't tell what brand it was, what size, if it was actually leather or just ultrasuede... all she kept repeating was, "That is the price!" I didn't need the yelling, or the stank, confrontational attitude, but didn't want to take it out on the poor clerk ringing me up, since he was caught in the middle. I simply made a mental note to share my story and never return.

Messy place I know it’s Marshall’s but they need to hire more people to organize the stuff better and the prices was okay there was not a really big deals in this location

It is a store that helps you get out of trouble, you will find clothing, shoes, accessories, perfumes, snacks, home and decoration at a reasonable price.

Today, I had the worst experience here.
I went a few weeks ago and saw an item that costed $6.99 but didn’t purchase it. Today, I went back to purchase it. There was only one left with no tag. I explained the price I saw last time, but they charged me $12.99 after seeing one similar but much larger. I had no proof of what I saw so had no choice but to pay the $12.99 or leave it.

Marshalls in Linden is a fantastic spot for finding great deals! Every time we go, we enjoy searching for that diamond in the rough. Whether it's clothing, home goods, or accessories, there’s always something unique at a great price. The store is well-organized, making it easy to browse through the aisles and discover hidden gems.
The staff is friendly, and while it can get busy at times, it’s still a solid shopping experience. The only reason it’s not five stars is that stock can vary, so you may not always find exactly what you're looking for, but that’s part of the fun! Overall, it’s a great place for anyone who loves a good deal.

BEWARE of this Marshalls. After checking out I examined my receipt and noticed I was charged for an additional item. I immediately went back to receive my refund. What I should have done is examine each product because the Bliss Cupping Therapy Set that I purchased was just an empty box. I paid $3 for an empty box!

7/8/24 I had bought mascara from Marshalls that goes by the brand of ‘Unicat,” but the brand isn’t the relevant thing here. As I was using it, I noticed that the bottle was already almost done. And not only that, but the more I inserted the wand, the more hair I saw come out of the container. The lashes I saw were not mine. They were thinner and shorter than mine. I think there’s a huge problem going on where people use products before buying them without any kind of repercussions or monitoring.

As CEO/buyer for my business, frequent shopping at Marshalls at Linden location - my favorite store and spending thousands of dollars on merchandise every month was a need until the coordinator/cashier - Jennifer who works here put an end to it. Not only she targeted me specifically to give me a harder time to work with the customer returns service but also created a bad experience for me to ever stop by this location again. She claimed that she has the right to observe her customers closely. It’s an abusive use of her power and I do not stand by it. She doesn’t seem to care at all about customer experience when she just doesn’t care about losing a loyal customer. I’m deeply disappointed that the way she handles my matter. I hope something can happen to correct this kind of things from happening again.
