Last night I ordered a salmon avocado roll and ate it for dinner. During the middle of the night I was vomiting! I was food poisoned from eating the salmon roll. It maybe a isolated incident but I am never going there again!

I started patronizing Osaka close to 20 years ago, long before I lived in Little Falls. The restaurant changed hands a few times after the original Mr. Kim left, however the quality was always consistent and the roll selection varied.Unfortunately the restaurant changed hands again last year and the quality has declined. Our first order with the new owners was surprising - the rolls were smaller and the fish was watery (which usually happens when fish isn't thawed correctly). Knowing how difficult it is to start a new restaurant, we assumed it was growing pains and decided to hold off from ordering for a few months. Unfortunately things haven't improved; the new menu isn't as varied (the whole family was so bummed to see Rock N Roll was no longer available) and the fish still has that watery consistency. I do hope they are able to work through the quality issues because this is a super convenient location to grab a few rolls!

Update below: after discussing with the restaurant they were kind to show me the itemized receipt and other supporting documents, which helped me remember every item that was ordered. There were no mistake/overcharging by the restaurant. My apologies to the restaurant for the inconvenience/ initial confusion.—Ate at the restaurant with the family for lunch. Food and service (in the traditional sense) was great. That said, when I checked my credit card statement, the total amount came out to be more than what I expected. I recall writing in the standard 18% tip but the total amount would suggest a ~30% tip. Did they overwrite what I had written or just charge more thinking I wouldn’t notice?

Really bad service. This used to be a good place ! The lady should be ashamed of herself ! Shame . Hwe dup bap. She knows! Shame , lol anyway. Ordered a Chirashi. And I got all rice and a few pieces of fish and 1 shrimp. Not worth it . Go elsewhere. They don't treat their own people right! Shame ! Where's Eric ?

Worst experience. The lady that works here should be ashamed of herself. Her own people she treats bad! Hwe dup bap. You know ! Shame. I ordered the chirashi and got all rice and lettuce. Don't eat at this place . Waste of money.

Talk about condescending, the words "Don't you Understand" is not a way to communicate to a customer that drops $100 every few months at your business. I understand communications do get lost in translation, I am giving you an excuse. Plenty of good competition nearby. Unfortunately we were one of the good customers that kept you in business during COVID-19 pandemic. Piss off. Learn respect

It's been a while since we last ordered from Osaka. While never top tier it has always been decent and better than most other spots in this general neighborhood. Well, that seems to have changed. We ordered a Sushi Deluxe for two, Chirashi, three Eel Hand Rolls and six pieces of Mackerel Sushi. I kinda got the sense that something was amiss when I was placing the order. I asked for six pieces of Saba Sushi and the girl taking the order had no idea what that was. Rule to self. If an establishment doesn't understand the Japanese or Korean names of the fish it's probably a good idea to order elsewhere. Back to the review. The fish, overall, was completely flavorless, lacked texture and was full of water. I think the fish was improperly thawed. Or, it was thawed, refrozen, and then thawed again. That's a no, no. In addition to lacking flavor and texture it really didn't look appetizing either. The piece sizes were very small. Which is fine given that they were lousy. But if it was good I would have wanted larger pieces. The hand rolls were also very small and not prepared very well at all. Osaka has changed hands several times over the years but the quality and preparation has always been pretty consistent. Unfortunately the current management or ownership has dropped the ball. For what it's worth, I gave two stars because they were polite and the order was well packaged. I doubt that I will return.
