Rude and always with scowls on their faces, it’s apparent no customer service exists in the building.
The man who helped me was not knowledgeable of his job at all, his name is Ashish,.the supervisor sent him to lunch in the middle of assisting me.

Person in line asked what box or envelope would be good to ship 8 1/2 x 11. Female clerk said she did not know what size box or envelope would be needed for 8 1/2 x 11 contents. Female clerk said she had no idea about sizes. Also observed person with visual problems asking for help regarding flat rate boxes. Person told the female clerk that she could not see which boxes were flat rate boxes because of her visual disability. All of the boxes looked the same. Female clerk said I am not going to jump over the counter to help you. Disabled person started asking questions about where the boxes were in the post office because she could not see them and the female clerk became so annoyed and said “That is enough”. I saw male clerk went over to assist disabled person. The disabled person at that point seemed very saddened, humiliated and just left.

The postal box outside the Post Office is often stuck as you could see mail from the slot. Anyone can steal the mail if they want. This problem has been reported to the office staff but nothing has been done. 👎

Just rude. Hire people who likes people. Clearly no one is doing anything about it since the rating is already low.

Staff has serious issues and obviously management could care less. Not there to serve the customer. Only concerned about how you make them feel. Go to Roseland, professional and there to serve.

Customer service is very terrible at this location. I know we may not always want to come to work but when having a bad day take a break or call out it’s not okay to take it out on your customer’s

The guy Sayed is the worst cashier to deal with and has no patience or customer service etiquette. Tried to have my fingerprints done and at first attempt it's unsuccessful cause he says I'm pressing down too hard. Then, he says just place your fingers without pressing. So I place my finger without pressing down and then starts to argue with me that I'm pressing too hard. I said dude my fingers are hanging off the damn thing and I ain't even pressing down. Maybe your system is too sensitive. Tells me to leave cause he can't help me and you only get 5 tries. So another lady comes by to try and help, and again it's unsuccessful but she says she can refer me to an Identogo place. I applaud her for the help she gave me, but this guy Sayed just gave up and didn't want to be bothered. He needs to be retrained with how to deal with the general public cause his customer etiquette is long gone. He needs to be working in the back instead of being a cashier.

Thank you shonda for your help and coming through. The lady with the blond braid and long lashes needs to go for training because she is the reason for all the negative reviews here.

I booked an appointment 1:00 pm for Passport at the Livingston Mt Pleasant Ave. When I arrived at 12:30 for whatever reason their paper work did not show the 1 pm appointment. The clerk said "oh you must have scheduled by mistake for the Livingston post office in another state. That happens all the time." I explained no it was this one on Mt Pleasant Ave Livingston within 1 Mile from home. It would not have put me at a Post Office in some Midwestern state. There was no one in the Post Office online. I asked her can you take care of processing the application since no-one is here online. "No."
There was not any attempt to address the problem. Another clerk who was not even involved in the discussion butts in with an attitude. Quite naturally she missed some of the point of the initial conversation and made an erroneous assumption - and from there the conversation went completely down hill!
No customer service concern. Then they wonder why the customers are frustrated and respond accordingly.
There was one clerk who came from the back and attempted to rectify the situation. Yet another 3rd clerk would not let her. I suppose the "3 sister friend colleagues" are more about being a clique that doing the right thing. The other clerk was the only one who acted with any degree of professionalism yet she was outnumbered.
Tuesday 12:30pm this transpired.
The initial clerk really other than not having any insight to make an accommodation was not the problem but the other clerk was the one. Whether the customer was right wrong or indifferent that particular clerk (who may have been "in charge" for the day) was chip on shoulder and street attitude.
Needless to say poor work place dynamic.
I went someone where else was taken care of immediately without the attitude.
Go to Roseland 160 Eagle Rock Ave. It is only a few minutes away. Professionals and there to serve the public with courtesy

This is the 2nd time I’ve been treated so poorly at this post office , once I asked to use a bit of scotch tape to seal an envelope and told me I would have to buy a full role of tape and use my own , I said for one maybe 2inch piece of tape ? They said yes & now today I asked to see what 1st class stamp sheets were available so I pick choose one and the employee refused to show me the selection , no wonder the US Post office is in financial trouble
, their customer service is horrendous & these employees seem angry and hate their jobs ,they are in a public service position and refuse to be helpful

I’ve never been treated more poorly in my life! First, woman doing passports was 10 minutes late to our appointment. I asked her a simple question about if my son’s original passport needed to be sent in or a copy, and she snapped back with a reply, “well you clearly know how to read better than me since I do this everyday.” I let that one go, but when she came back a THIRD time with a nasty tone I walked out. I will NEVER go back there! This woman needs to be held accountable for the way she treats her customers! Disgusted is an understatement!

The workers make you feel like you’re stupid for having genuine questions. How am I supposed to know that I need to fill out 3 forms plus the treaty of Versailles to get a passport. It’s really not that hard to have some class but what more can you expect from some uneducated welfare moms working at the post office.
