Overall It was a really pleasant experience renting From Avis Lodi, NJ.Car was over my expectations for a great price, clean, with high-end finishes and safety features.Check-in and check out was fast, the manager was Kind and Knowledgeable.I will definitely recommend this location and I will rent soon again.

Everything worked out as it should have. Picked the car up and dropped it off. My review is based off of the customer service. Young lady at the counter isn’t friendly. When I dropped off the vehicle she left to inspect the car without saying a word. Just took the keys and walked out. When she came back she was on the phone to corporate discussing dog hair and cleanliness of the car and at first I couldn’t tell if she was pointing it out to me until after she wasn’t answering my questions I noticed she has AirPods in and wasn’t addressing me at all. After that it was a really off putting back and forth trying to understand if any of what she was saying was addressed to me or not. She wasn’t graceful she didn’t offer an apology for confusion. She was put off by my confusion. No pleasantries at the start or end of any of our interactions. I don’t feel I am owed that by any means. After renting at Enterprise earlier in the summer vs my experience here, I’d go back to Enterprise based solely on the fact that they really go above and beyond to make you feel secure and okay to ask questions.

The receptionist was very professional. She made sure to document every scratch, discoloration or dent on the vehicle. The vehicle rented was a Kia; that little car just took off and zoomed down the highway. We glided smoothly and safely to our destination. I had a wonderful experience with this rental.

Worst car rental ever and worst customer service to back it up with all the issues I had. I wasn’t even given the right vehicle or a vehicle that ran well. I was charged more than my original price and then had to pay for additional toll charges, even though I had unlimited E tolls. 10 phone calls to 5 different customer service numbers that I was given and that is not even included in the number of transfers, while on the phone.

I have been waiting over 2 months to get refunded for rentals that they confirmed and accepted without ever allowing me to use the rental.I took multiple trips after confirming and paying for rentals, was promised refunds and now I have spent several hours of my time just to get MY OWN MONEY back.They took my money, refused to give me the rentals and have now wasted several hours of my time just to get my $40 back!Awful company full of thieves. Stay away at all costs.They stole my money and refuse to give it back and now they have stolen tons of my time too, just so they can keep the money they stole from me!Your company is losing way more time and money than the $40 you stole is worth!!!

STAY AWAY from this poorly managed Avis. Not worth the aggravation.After reading other reviews, I’m guessing that I must have encountered Kim.I have to believe She is not worried about being fired, due to her being African American. Considering the endless reviews about how unhelpful and Rude Kim is, there is more than enough reason to terminate her.This location is zero stars. I rarely ever take time to write reviews but this Avis location is an exception, the absolute worst customer service I have ever encountered.The girl that works there is so angry and acts so annoyed when she is asked any questions.I was going to book a one week rental online and I was told they have no cars available at all and my reservation would not be available if I came in to pick up the vehicle.So I asked if they could bring a vehicle from another location if I made the online reservation and she rudely with an attitude said no, then stated don’t bother reserving any cars that show availability because none would be available?Who in their right mind would ever hire someone so angry and bitter? The employees only concern was closing up as fast as possible. Don’t waste your time here, go to Enterprise or Hertz.I was a lifelong renter at Hertz and decided to give Avis a try, this surely is the first and last time, what a mistake.

Absolute garbage rental location and company.They took my money and time, after I made two reservations with them.And they refuse to give me back MY money after denying me the rental and taking MY money!Avoid this awful establishment. Their customer service is the worst I have seen and they will just steal your money and time and not even compensate you for your money.

This is a warning before going to this place, first it is franchise so they don't follow corporate rules. Also, the reason small business in this country are hurting is because of employees like Kim, this person lacked customer service skills and is very unpleasant to be around I feel bad for this owner because this location could be thriving but Kim at the establishment does not care or your business. Advise to the owner Mr. Ruben who is also the manager, I can find you much better people to work at your locations who will care about your business as much as you. You have been warned, you are entering at your own risk and be ready to feel worthless.

The person Kim that works at this store was rude to the other customer and did even help them out nor answered basic questions they were asking. It's sad because Avis is a good company. Kim is just a rude. Stay away!
