We’re do I start with this place. Go in for a tire change thinking it was going to be a one day affair only to have it turn into a me having to return to the shop multiple times because they couldn’t complete a simple tire change. They put the tires on so bad that they need to replace the whole hub on one of my tires because the mechanic stripped the bolt when he was putting the tire back on. Not only did they have to replace my hub they also forgot to put one of the lug bolts back onto the tire. On top of that you could remove the other lug bolts with your bare hand. Now last time I check you needed to use a tire wrench to get one of those off. I basically drove off from the shop with a death trap waiting to happen. Thank god it snowed that week so I didn’t drive it for almost a week. The only reason I found out any of this was because my dad went to go change my breaks pads (which the shop also tried to get me to fix and thank god I didn’t because god only know how bad they would have messed that one up). Wesley the manager here was all nice until he realized his employee really messed up my tire and they had to fix everything. I spent so much money for the tires and the service, the only thing I asked for was a refund on the tire installation which cost me $120. It’s been almost two months of me trying to fight for this refund. I called the manager Wesley who wasn’t helpful so I resorted to calling corporate who was no better. Every time I’ve called corporate they tell me someone will reach out to me but they never do. Don’t waste your money here. Go across the street to mavis tires I’m sure you’ll have a better experience.

Don’t bring nothing here watched them bring an suv onto the alignment rack with the trunk open, garage door wasn’t all the way up and they smacked the trunk Tailgate on the garage door, manager proceeds to come out and act like nothing happened. Would never leave my car here unattended.

Just terrible service. I dropped off my car before store opened Saturday morning. I called at noon and they said there was a mix up and they are going start on my car. Around 5pm they called and said car will be ready by 7pm when store closes. I was there until 930pm and car wasn't ready. Car ready 1130am Sunday.

I bought my car in Saturday 730 am before store opened at 8am for belt repair and back brakes done. Around noon I called to see how it was going and they told me that there was a mix up and they didn't see my car and will begin serving my car and should be done around 3pm. I called at 3pm and they said it should be done around 5pm. 5pm I called and they said come in 7pm it will be ready because they close at 7pm. I sat there until 930pm and car still not done. I was told that it will be done at 9am Sunday when they open. I called at 10am and they said car will be done at 11am.

This is the second time I’ve booked an oil change here, first time I was told the website doesn’t always work for booking and I ended up staying almost three hours until service was complete.Today I tried again and even called this morning to confirm my booking. When I arrived I was asked “what are you doing here” by a mechanic in the shop before I entered the building. I explained I had an oil change appointment and he said it would be hours before I could be serviced because they had more important service to complete. When I entered no one checked me in at the front desk so I took my keys (which no one had bothered to even collect) and left for valvoline!!Not sure why they’d confirm the appointment this morning if they weren’t going to have time!I normally have good experiences at pep boys but this location sucks DO NOT BOOK AN OIL CHANGE HERE

If you don’t like to waste time, please avoid here. Arrived for a 1pm oil and coolant change appointment done on website and was told 1-1.5 hours to be done. At this point, we were told to wait an additional 1 hour to finish.Unfortunately, The entire process took 4.5 hours waiting without being told the exact time. It would have been understandable if the cashier and the mechanics actually communicated the correct amount of time, so we could have gone home and come to pick up the car. Without false promises extending by 30 minutes at a time, keeping us here on a store in the middle of the highway.Then the front blamed us for booking the appointment in the pepboys website (? What’s the point of pre booking), when we asked how much longer it would take.

While the front office staff were excellent, the service / mechanic was "trying to help me out" and "take care of me" by bringing me to my vehicle and saying "Just look at that, man....". Look at what? "Oh man, your brakes, your struts too..." and little else. My brakes and struts what?!? Very little explanation of "problems" found, assumed I just say yes to a bunch of work I wasn't asking for and didn't need. They installed (2) new tires - all good with those. In leaving, my car had a serious wobble it didn't have when I arrived. I was so put-off by the mechanic, I immediately drove to an excellent mechanic shop, someone I trusted, who straightened my rim. I won't be going back and I hope others don't have this experience. No doubt they do good work, but don't act incredulous when someone declines you trying to convince them they need something. Take a "no thanks" as just that.

Female working the front desk is clueless. Needed a headlight replacement. She couldn't get the headlight removed to find the part #. So she goes to her computer and is unable to find the bulb #. Told me to "take it to the dealer". Went down to firestone down the street and they took care of me in 5 minutes. Theyre clueless!

I would highly recommend if you're considering coming to this location to go to Hackensack or Hasbrouck Heights Pep Boys instead. This location lost my wheel lock after coming in for a flat and Wesley, the so called manager could not handle a simple customer service complaint. All I wanted was a replacement. He spoke down to me because I am a woman who doesn't know about cars, demeaned me, never once apologized, and reprimanded me for calling customer service. He also let me know that I should not care that they lost the locks because I had an older car. He should not be in a managerial position. I called customer service and specifically requested to resolve my issue at another location or with another manager because I did not feel comfortable with the way he treated me and he decided to call me to reprimand me again. This is harassment.He also left my car in an unsafe condition and I had to have it fixed again later. Go to Hackensack Pep Boys...

UPDATE: They did take my car back and kept it overnight and drained the oil and refilled it. I drove 4 hours over the weekend and everything worked fine. Wesley, I guess he is the manager up front, was very nice, understanding and professional! He refunded my original payment, and covered my Lyft to and from home and the shop. He explained it was a mistake by someone new. SO, even though initially it was a one star experience, in the end they made things right. Thank you!INITIAL REVIEW: even if I could give negative reviews I would!!!! All I wanted was an oil change!!!! Reception guy was fine, but some moron overfilled my oil, almost double past the full line. So I write this as I sit waiting for AAA to come tow me back. I literally just had this done and only made it maybe 3 miles and smoke and backfiring - the telltale symptom of overfill and sure enough….I’ll add a pic. Btw first time to a Pep Boys ever.

I made an appointment at noon for an oil change and tire rotation. Staff told me if would take an hour. Another customer walked in for battery replacement without an appointment.His service was done before mine.I had to wait 1 hour and an half.I would not recommend this place.

Wasted my time I had very little of. Guy on the phone Said come on in no problem we have your tire, I get there and apparently everyone's on lunch and they guy asked if I could wait I said how long he said hour and half. I left a number to call back, they never called back. I called back myself and guy says oh yeah there back come in. I come and and they don't have my tire and ask if I can come tmr. I was so confused on why they had me waiting and hour and half to tell me that. Tires did not get changed

I came last minute this past Friday because I got a flat tire on my way home from work (got punctured really badly; definitely couldn't be plugged). I called and Jhad was quite hospitable on the phone. He assured me that they had a tire available in the size I needed. After getting my spare put on, I drove to their location and they helped me out right away. Jhad was very friendly and provided me with great customer service from start to finish. Gian was the mechanic who worked on my car. Despite it being almost time for him to go home, he still made time to answer my questions and give me advice on the rest of my tires. I loved their service so much that I scheduled to have my other three tires there replaced this week.
