Workers are nice and helpful. Gym is very small and gets very crowded, but overall good atmosphere and a good vacation workout spot. Only 4 stars cause the prices are a little extreme for a day pass.

Dawn and her team are awesome - the atmosphere is super friendly/relaxed (for all levels of gym experience)…..yes - the gym it’s on the smaller side but they make great use of the space and there is a cool open-air (yet covered) outside workout space as well. I highly recommend Elite Fitness on LBI…….

As much of a hot commodity it is, I would truly recommend to anyone just trying to get a quick workout in to take the time to just travel off the island. On the other hand, if you're looking for private classes or group sessions, this might be financially worth it for you. It's very clean and very friendly, but.....it is very costly and (not as much as a big deal alone) a tight squeeze. It has a lot of useful equipment but I kept feeling like I was in other peoples way. However, I didn't expect anything different entering the gym knowing it was a small business and a small space during a busy time of year. Trying to be understanding that it is the only gym on that side of the entire island, I would have rather driven off the island to a lower scaled corporate gym like a Planet or a Retro for the price I was paying and to be able to move around. It is a great business move since there is slim pickings of free weight gyms on the island, leaving people really no choice but to pay for this gym so making their memberships more on the expensive side. $150 a month is comparable to a LifeTime fitness which is luxury gym comparable to a Disney Resort lol. The only real excuse I see to making adjustments to widen their availability to customers in the community is that they survived the pandemic..... not sure how far that excuse can go anymore. I hope they take this with a grain of salt. No ill will and wish this business the best.

$25 daily walk in charge, they barely have enough equipment to work out. Way over priced.

Really great workout facility. It might be small but has everything one needs to get a great workout. Always hit this place up when I come to town.

I recommend Elite Fitness very highly. Clean and well laid out. Great spin classes- inside during the winter and outdoors when the weather warms up. The owner listens to the members and their suggestions.

This place is a hidden gem! Every summer I know that I can always rely on elite fitness for my coming off the beach workouts. It is definitely on the smaller side but still has enough equipment to satisfy my workouts. It’s meant for all ages and they even have a bunch of different classes in the morning ranging from spin to boot camp. It’s the perfect place to get a quick workout so you don’t feel like your too lazy on your vacation!!

Elite Fitness was one of my best experiences while visiting LBI. I bought a 3 day package for $70.00. My first day in, Dawn the owner, suggested I do an exercise differently. Her knowledge is now helping me now train properly. Can’t wait to visit next summer to get a 5 day package. Thank-you for a clean and friendly work-out environment!

I absolutely love going to this gym. It is clean and has excellent instruction available. It has been a stable business on the island for many years. To those people who come for a week and can’t tolerate it being busy, you are very short sighted. We are lucky to have such a great business like this on LBI!!

This place was an absolute mad house since it appeared to be the only real gym on this end of the island. Would be perfect for a few days vacation to get some work in for a day or two. Went for the day, then they said for 3 days it was $70. $70??????? 5 visits $110???? Just wrong. Won’t ever be back.EDIT: for the owners response.. I respect your hustle, people are going to pay no matter what. But clearly I don’t agree with the prices, they are ludicrous and borderline criminal, hence the review. Thanks.

I used this gym while on vacation. The gym was clean and neat, good for a few workouts while away. The only drawback for me was the hours of operation. Since it didn't open until 0730, it was busy, and because it's small, very tight to sling around weights.

Unfortunately this gym leaves a lot to be desired. One of their biggest selling points is that they are the ONLY relatively-practical gym on the island to get to. I went there today and there was a line out the door. I know that LBI is a vacation community primarily, and obviously most people come down through mid May through late August, but if one existed, another gym that was actually decent sized would blow this one out of the water. If such a place were to exist, they could easily steal Elite's business if they even lowered their price for a monthly subscription by 25$. You could effectively run this competitor business off-season too to cater to the locals without too much labor or maintenance costs. Unfortunately, this is what happens when there is no competition in the market- people pay too much to receive a subpar service.

Dawn the owner is a local who really puts in the effort to get to know her clients. She and a few other trainers offer spin classes as well as personal training. Although the space is relatively small she still has a good assortment of equipment given the space confinements. There is a large assortment of dumbells ranging from 10lbs to at least 55lbs. I believe she has some dumbells over 55lbs, but not entirely sure. She has one weight rack and one rack on a track for those newer to lifting. Cardio equipment includes treadmills, a step machine seated peddlers (great for people with knee issues) spin bikes and rowing machines. There are also a few machines too. She has everything I needed for my weight lifting routine. There is even a punching bag downstairs in the open air.
