“Rebel Supply was my favorite stop of the day but also my biggest regret because I walked out without purchasing one of their many hats with the famous "where the hell have you been, loca" printed on them. Sigh, I'll just have to make the trip back there. There's truly something for everyone here. My boyfriend is not a shopper by any means and he ended up buying a few things here. After realizing this is also a consignment shop of course I had to look through the clothes and they have a great selection! Tons of cool shoes too. This is the shop to get a funny gift for your best friend but also to look around for a little something cute for yourself. Mugs, books, magnets, lighters with Tina belchers face on them. Ya know - the good stuff. Absolutely check this place out when you're in Asbury!”

“Very nice shop, the girl working let us bring our dogs in to browse. They carry a lot of Sourpuss Clothing, I would say it's not a lot of true vintage but more so vintage inspired but they had some really cool stuff and it was very affordable and reasonably priced. Also staff was super friendly and welcoming!”
“An impeccably curated shopping experience and an absolute must-visit in Asbury park. Just from stepping into the store you can tell everything is selected with a very close attention to detail, from the quality of the textile to the designer or maker behind each treasure. I was so happy to pick up some holiday gifts here and also learn about some new-to-me brands. There's something indescribably cool about picking up a pair of pants that caught my eye and being told they were made by someone local. This is a business worth supporting - you know your money is going not only to a small local business but also to the local makers stocked here. Can't wait to come back!”
“My wife and I recently bought several beautiful things there, including a magnificent antique candleholder with crystals. She used brass cleaner and cleaned each crystal to make it look new. It is one of the most beautiful items in our home. A great store that everyone should visit when in Ocean Grove.”
“At Backward Glances, I felt like I was transported back in time. They have quality vintage items that are stocked every week! It was a lot of fun browsing the store; you never know what treasures you can stumble upon. I bought a vintage jean jacket with silver embroidery and sequins; it was in mint condition. I also found 80s banana hair clips, which is awesome, because the modern ones are just not the same. Great prices, great selection, great service. I will certainly be back!”
“I've been going to this place for years, and every time I go, I always, by something ( treasures). There is so much to see that I spend at least an hour ( at least ). I've picked up many gems from here ( gifts ? for friends and all loved them ). If you like vintage clothing, shoes, jewelry, bottles, signage, etc. Stop by, it's worth a look. ????”
“Do yourself a favor and stop into this local staple! There is something for everyone — antiques, retro goods, clothes, memorabilia, jewelry, books, and even plants! I can easily spend an hour wandering, even if I don’t buy anything (though I always do)!”
“I enjoyed my time shopping here and found the staff pleasant and helpful. They were enthusiastic about the items I was trying on and I ended up buying six items that I love for $25 or less. I scheduled an appointment to consign some items for a store credit and will update this once I have that experience. Many people are complaining about having their stuff sold for “pennies on the dollar” in reviews, but if you want to make more off your items then do the work and sell it yourself online. Personally, I find that to be a lot of work. Remember, they have overhead, staff, and more to pay for. I am grateful there is a store where we can actually be green by recycling items and give new life to used items. Looking forward to bringing my stuff in.”

“Full stocked Cosignment shop located at the site of the old unfinished furniture store ( Remember that giant wooden beach chair that stood out front for years??!!). The focus here is on clothes (Racks!), but household items as well. During the week, there are lines of "locals ladies" dropping items off via the back door -expecting a nice payback for their extra stuff. My problem w Consignment is how much $$ really does go back to that original owner?? No one could give me the %% arrangements when I asked up front. This is a for-profit business, not a charity, which is fine as long as the terms are clear beforehand .”
