After reading the reviews I was a little nervous about renting a truck here. It ended up being a smooth and trouble-free experience. The lady at the desk was no-nonsense and professional. No line to wait in at pick-up. The truck ran great and drop-off was quick.

Wow !!! Absolutely the worst!!! Had 2 reservations with 2 separate locations for a rental and one location calls me to tell me I'm on a waiting list I call customer service they send me to a second location which two old people are basically like screw you we have nothing but go here get in an Uber and go to tjr 3rd budget ! They tell me the regional manager doesn't allow them to post sold out!!! Absolutely no regard for people

Absolutely disgusted with this company, never again. The staff is also questionable. Was referred to this location from Bayonne, NJ, DROVE 1 HOUR FROM MY house only to find out that my husband is on the DO-NOT-RENT list, which ended up being a mistake on Budget's end. Ken and the older lady at the reception did nothing, besides providing us with a corporate number that has a voicemail box. After we drove back home after driving back and forth between the locations without the truck, they called us and said that we can come back for the truck))) Seriously ?) See you in court, hopefully, with so many complaints, you will be shut down soon

I am really sad because I did not read any reviews before booking with this company. All the points that other reviewers mentioned are true. The truck rental is $30 but I am charged $300. I returned the car on time. I filled the gas and I left the gas recite for them. But still I am charged 10 times more.

DO NOT GO HERE. This was the worst experience we've ever had renting a car. It was as if the older woman at the front desk (short hair) did everything in her power to be difficult and rude throughout the entire process. Really poor representation of Budget. First, she told us that the car we were going to rent for moving (a van) wasn't available and tried to get us to take another small car that just would not have worked. Turns out she DID have the car. Then, a few minutes after we left (with the correct car thankfully), I got a call and was rudely reminded that I was ONLY ONE SUPPOSED TO BE DRIVING. I WAS the one driving and she had already reminded me of this 4 times in a condescending manner. Now, this woman is trying to charge us for an extra day when we have proof that the car was to be rented until the evening. My partner even has a copy of the receipt on his phone and she literally refuses to look at it. She is truly the worst. Maybe getting laid would help your crappy attitude and nonexistent customer service.

DONOT RENT TRUCKS or CARS FROM HERE!! YOU WILL PAY!!I rented a truck and had a very bad experience1) The contracts are written to have return time as 8 am even though you might have rented the previous day at 5pm. Make sure that is appropriately adjusted to 24 hours. I rented at noon and returned at 10 am. The lady tried to charge for 2 days. After 5 mins of conversation, she agreed not to as my miles were high - 90 miles (actually 80 miles, see below).2) The mileage indicator in the contract and the truck was off by 10 miles at start of rental. I went in and talked to the lady at the desk. She clicked some keys and told me it was fixed. But it wasn't. When I returned the truck and asked for an invoice, noticed the wrong mileage start, she refused to fix it. Take pictures of gas tank before and after your interaction to avoid pain later.3) The gas tank showed 360 miles to fill up at start of rental even though when I filled up, it showed 400 miles. Either the company or the previous renter is at fault4) She tries to scare you into taking all kinds of insurance. Go in educated beforehand. I didn't fall for it.5) The truck I rented - 12 foot cargo van - was dinged all around with more than 5 dents. At start of rental, please take pictures of the dents or you will be charged. The vehicle had engine light and windshield wiper light on. She told me don't mind that. The van is in good mechanical condition. For my rental, I had no mechanical issues. I made pretty sure that she saw me taking pictures before the rental. Maybe that helped.6) She asks to inspect the gas filling receipt. I don't know why. I asked for it back in case I needed proof that gas was filled up later.7) The lady told me that I cannot park my car (I was leaving my car and picking up the truck) in her lot but I could park by road. I did that ( I had told her I planned to return the vehicle by midnight) . She conveniently forgot to mention that it is illegal to park there between 2 am to 3 am. I got a parking ticket for which I have to pay $40. I went back and asked her why she didn't tell me that it was restricted parking and her response was that it is not her problem. It was my problem.8) Customer service is significantly lacking. Her attitude was not friendly.9) There is a $10 fee for drop box drop off. No reason was given why I had to pay to use the box which is free at every other car rental location. I ended up not using the drop box and hence wasn't charged. Renter beware.Not a good feeling doing business with them.All in all, a bad experience. I would recommend using another location for your own sake.

I had a reservation for a cargo van for over a month for my son to use to move. We had to get the van and not a bigger truck because of where the property was located. We received a confirmation the night before in an email. When we went to pick up the van, I was told they had no van and would give me a 16ft box truck for the same price. They said they called to let us know. We did not receive a call and we cannot use the 16 foot box truck (which was not at this location by the way, it was in Hackensack and I would have to pick it up there). I again told them I cannot use the 16 ft box truck. They called around for a van but could not find one. I had to cancel and was left with no vehicle to move but UHaul came to my rescue. And to put salt in the wound, they charged me $75 for canceling.....when THEY DIDN'T HAVE THE VEHICLE I REQUESTED. Needless to say, I called corporate and had the $75 credited back to my credit card. STAY AWAY!

Lol where do I start. Made a reservation to rent a car, got in the car and it smelled like someone smoked a whole pack of cigarettes in the car. Went inside to complain about the smell of the car, and they tell us "oh that's just the smell of the sanitizer we use. We've had a lot of complaints about it" yes that's the sanitizer you used to mask the smell of the cigarettes. I'd still like another car. After complaining a 2nd time they finally gave us the keys to another car when they could've just apologized in the first place.

I called & the lady that answered the phone had a nasty tone on her voice & the I speak with Ken Book & he too had a nasty tone. I had asked if I was to rent a truck if I can bring it back the next morning at 6:30am & he said that was a "weird question" he said "You can drop it off at what ever time you want, you'll still be responsible for the truck until we check it in." It's not what he said it's how he said it & the tone. I'm so glad that I didn't rent from there! I rather pay more & have better customer service!

Here before 6 and no one is here . Truck was dangerous to drive and wanted to exchange it but ended up have to rent from uhaul for the extra days we needed which was definitely worth the switch . It's not worth trying to save a few bucks and put your life at risk with driving their truck .
