I have been going to Turning Point Nail Salon for almost 15 years, and I couldn’t be happier with the service. My nails are always done beautifully and with great attention to detail. The atmosphere is calm, relaxing, and soothing — the perfect place to unwind. The staff is absolutely amazing: friendly, professional, and always willing to go the extra mile to make sure you’re happy with the results. I highly recommend Turning Point to anyone looking for quality nail care and a welcoming experience!

i’m a male in my mid 50s I hardly ever get a pedicure however I was going on vacation. I had absolutely no idea other than when I walked in. I asked how much before and I was told 31 for just a pedicure. I had no idea that they charge an additional $20 to take the dead skin off the bottom of your feet. I just thought it was included. The girl asked me if I wanted some clear polish put on again what would I know the person working on my feet was Hispanic and obviously don’t belong here so she rushes as fast as she can. I get up to pay and they hit me with a bill of $65 and I told her you said 31 then she’s telling me something about gel clear if she would’ve told me what the price was like, I said what would I know? She baited me because she knew I didn’t know any better and the woman running that place. It’s so unscrupulous honestly that place should be like put out of business and I will contact the Better Business Bureau. seriously, stay far away from that place

I’ve been coming to this salon for over 15 yrs. Every one is very nice and professional. I’ve never had any issues with my mani/pedi.

I’ve gone to this salon with my daughter on & off for a few years. They are right by the Lyndhurst Train Station. It’s a nice modern big and clean salon. They do good basic nail services. Brand name polish and fresh new colors. If you’re looking for acrylics & design it’s hit or miss. That’s not their specialty. If you look around they have more of a Golden Girls Crowd. I actually had to convince the nail tech to give me the shape I wanted for my nails. They are used to older women. Every time I pick a bright color they ask if I’m going on vacation. Makes me laugh. I’d recommend they hire a trendier nail tech who knows artificial nails & design. Get up to date on nail shapes. Bold, trendy & yes long. It’s about the customers. Overall good salon. Very kind to my daughter. Especially the Spanish nail techs. Awesome ladies. Good people.

On 6/ 22/2025.This is a Racist place. My friend is white. She just told me. Her and a black girl was outside waiting to go in. They told them they were closing. The Asian guy told my friend to come in. But. They can't do a manicure and pedicure for the black lady because their closing. But let my friend in not the black girl. Then ask my friend do she want a pedicure and manicure . My friend asked why you didn't
let her in she wanted both. Then the Spanish girl said to my friend we don't want no trouble as if the black girl was going to be a problem . My friend who is white felt uncomfortable when she said that. This is why the world is the way it is. Because of people like that. Also I'm reading the reviews. I'm surprise they have any customers child like manicure that the do. I will be posting this on social media. I hope the girl who they turned away answers my post.

This is the first ever review I had to write!!!! I am appalled how they can run a business and not understand FULLY what customers are asking. They have a language barrier but they laugh when you are not understanding them- go figure! We got screwed last time we were there but returned anyway bc my daughter thought they were okay. So went in today and the lady, by the way, she’s the owner, even after showing a picture to copy, she decided to use a different color than what was asked and had the audacity to tell my daughter, stop changing her mind. No wonder she was whispering something to my daughter while I was there. Don’t wanna bore you with details…the problem with this place…
-too expensive for less than mediocre work
-don’t speak and understand the language we speak in this country
-extremely poor customer service and DO not follow what customer is asking.
-oh and they claim they give discount to students. But once you mention, they increase the price.
If you go there, it’s a matter of time…I have to give at least 1 star to post this! Good luck!

Honestly for a gel manicure that lasted me two days 😳 I would've really liked to have read the reviews first before stepping into this place & spending my hard earned money. I cannot believe that I really thought the manicurist had my best interest in mind. She told me she would be putting a nail-strength polish on because my nails I guess seem to be brittle. I even asked her when removing the old gel if the machine or the file better for removing that. She said the machine but all I saw was my nails becoming more fragile, should've been the first red flag. I didn't think anything of it & just thought with the massage & all it was a great experience, but also don't know how I got to $55 after they told me gel manicure was only $40 so I'm guessing things were added as extra. I did not know my GEL MANICURE was going to start peeling off two days after I got it. How embarrassing & then to spend all that money & tip them so well makes you feel awful. I do not encourage this place at all never had a gel manicure last me so short it's crazy. Idk what the manicurist put on my nail but I kid you not the gel peeled off entirely in one whole piece off my nails so I don't think the polish is meant to last. 😭 Really a shame since the salon is right in my neighborhood but I do not vouch for places like this & believe they should be sorry for all these complaints I've been reading off from their reviews. If I would've known I would've never walked in. The lady who took care of me was named Lee, don't know if that was her real name. Seemed like a sweet older woman but sheesh I would definitely ask the charges before they offer you anything. Most upsetting manicure ever received. Will never be going back.

Horrible place, awful experience. Charged $20 more for a manicure - didn’t tell me it would be more just charged me at the end. Owner tried adding $$$$ into my service TWICE and kept standing over me. Will NEVER ever go there again. Buyer beware before you enter - this place overcharges you!

Top 5 worst salons not clean rude staff don’t understand the concept of a straight line and accused me of taking pictures of them when I was really looking for an Airbnb so then I really did take her photo and decided to leave them a review

I walked in for a gel manicure. Cindy was polite ,professional and did a beautiful job. Other technicians were friendly and Kelly was kind when I checked out. All in all a pleasant experience.
