In fairness, the following is the one incident I've had at the Stop n Shop Pharmacy which resulted in most likely an illegal taking of my money. Usually the pharmacists are surly, curt and dismissive there. I can handle that. They wanted to be doctors and now look. Here is what happened. Be very careful if you think you're being wrongly overcharged. My experience. 1. Ordered inhaler. 2. Always costs $10 with my insurance. 3. Been going there for over a year. 4. Have my insurance information on file. 5. Pick up inhaler and told $60". 6. Shocked, I ask "did use the insurance on file? 7. Pharmacy person. "Yeah didn't go through". 8. I express my disbelief but not angrily - joking "well if I want to breath, I've got to pay." 9. Didn't break tension as pharmacy person blankly looked at me. 10. With any other customer, it would have ended there. 11. However not long after, mislaid the inhaler and my specialist prescribed it again and placed the order. 12. I show up go pick it up: now $10. 13. I ask what happened since last time it was $60. 14. Pharmacy person (different from last says: "Oh yeah we found your insurance." 15. They'd mislaid it. 16. I let it go and left. 17. But it bothered me. Charged $50 more and not told the truth. 18. Weeks later it struck me they should reimburse me the $50. 19. This time the most surly of the crabby bunch immediately blew off that idea: 20. "Oh already went through. Can't." Analysis: 1. When I was charged $60 originally, that was their error. 2. As a regular customer and especially questioned them because I knew it had to be wrong, they should have told me they couldn't find my insurance information and ask me to give it them again. 3. But they didn't tell me that or do that but instead "made up" it didn't "go through". 4. Their cash register records and computer records and my insurance company records would show that if I pursued this. 5. But pharmacists are human. Maybe the instinctive cover-up falsehood was simply the wrong call and could be forgiven. 6. But it's the last surly dismissive condescending pill seller that lied to me that "it went through" so they couldn't reimburse me. 7. The the $60 order didn't not "go through" because they never out through and gouged me $50. So here's hoping someone at Stop n Shop Pharmacy in Madison New Jersey reads this and contacts me and sets things straight and disciplines the last of the two untrustworthy pharmacy employees. Otherwise I'll simply go elsewhere. I'm not filing a special civil part claim as - and they may have calculated this risk benefit analysis, $50 is too small an amount even with court costs and associated publicity.

It's understandable that prices go up due to the cost of fuel. The price on food is absolutely ridiculous in your stores. First of all, most employees were furloughed during the strike and replaced with self checkout because of corporate greed. Second. If im doing all the work myself and getting gouged at the same time, doesn't it make sense to lower the prices so it can be more affordable? You don't employ many people and have a useless robot that only gets on your way.

Poor service, while I was trying to get my Google pay to work I turned around and the manager and customer service girl were just standing there staring and whispering like I was gonna steal there cupcakes!! I told them they should be ashamed of themselves and left, the girl mumbled under her breath and luckily for her I didn't hear it. how ignorant some people are

Having to wait 45 -60 mins at stop & shop deli counter is completely UNACCEPTABLE. Online orders received priority over the dozen people standing in line. Raised issue with manager and her feeble answer was “if I could use slicer I would help you. 1/ why can’t YOU use slicer?? and 2/ why make that offer when it’s IMPOSSIBLE???!!!!!

I worked at store 57 in grafton for 5 years and I am very sorry I ever even filled out a job allocation for s&s. They are an abusive company that does not care about their associates. They violated the Massachusetts business law that every employee working more than 6 hours is entitled to a half hour meal break, they wouldn’t allow you to take a half hour unless you worked 7 hours or more. Madison stop and shop always clean shelves,are stocked and neat. The staff is very helpful not only how they great you there body language presents they really care. I'm from another town there's stop and shop BH I prefer to go to Madison. I do home delivery had trouble called the number this young Angella helped me out.. Have to call again I messed up.
