“A family I work for recommended this service facility and I've not been disappointed. Most recently I had my car in for an oil change and they took photos and showed me that there was a problem with my shocks, despite the fact that the car had less than 20,000 mi on it. They could easily have given me an estimate for repair but told me that my car was still under warranty. They wrote their findings in the notes that I was given. I took the car to the dealership. They did their own inspection and discovered that the findings of Aamco were correct and the shocks were replaced at no cost. Thanks Aamco!”

“They are the best around. My parents have known Billy & Bobby since high school and they are always very straightforward and quick. They let us drop our car(s) off with a bit of a warning whenever we have a problem just to take a quick look at it. Price is always super fair, way cheaper than the surrounding mechanics in town. “Faiti is the specialist that helped me out in a last-minute crisis I had. On the way home from New York to Maryland and I thankfully broke down three minutes before his shop. I was able to get my car in and he was able to help me fix my alternator that needed to be replaced. “I worked with Sal at Fanwood Transmissions to figure out a noise my 2004 Honda Pilot was making that no other shop could seem to figure out; and the green D light was blinking on occasion. Sal definitely knows transmissions and was able to tell me what was causing the noise (exhaust system) and replace the part in the transmission causing the D light to blink instead of having to replace the whole transmission. Sal is fair in what he charges and honest. I highly recommend Fanwood Transmissions for all your transmission needs!”
“Where do I begin? I picked up a project 07 Monte Carlo ss that I knew needed a transmission rebuild. Rob was very familiar with the parts that needed to be upgraded in the 4t65e which is prone to failing in these cars and gave me a very fair price on all the work they did. They changed several axles and mounts which all needed to be fixed as well and were very diligent with their work. The result is the car is the car is running like a brand new 07 ss and shifting very smooth in all gears. Puts a huge smile on my face every time I drive it. “A piece of tire was scraped off because my teenage kid hit a curb, so I went and ask them to take a look. The person inspected it and told me that it should be fine (she explained that she didn't see any liner from the spot) and that I don't need to do any work. Greatly appreciate an honest business that doesn't try to take customer for a ride!”

“Unfortunately my transfer case broke one night on my way home from work in mid September 2021. I had AAA tow it to a local shop. That guy didn’t have the capability to fix it so he sent it to a well known franchise transmission shop who’s initials are LM. Well LM gave me a quote of $3000 to fix the broken transfer case with a 30 day guarantee! Me not knowing much about cars knew that was a very bad deal. I then reached out to my cousin who works at a Chevrolet dealership (I have a Chevy) to see if I could purchase the part from him. I could but with the supply chain issue, the part wouldn’t be available until mid November (a 2 month wait). I relayed this message to LM and he told me I had to have my car towed back to my house until the part came in. Problem with that is I don’t have driveway parking and wouldn’t be able to move the car if needed (such as for the never ending street repairs or snow). I asked him to give me a day to figure out what I could do. The next day I got very busy and didn’t get to figure something out. Late afternoon, LM called and said he had put my car on the street and in Union where he is located, there is no overnight parking so the car will be impounded. I googled “Transmission Shops” and found Dr. Marv’s. He had great reviews so I called him. I explained about the 2 month wait for the part and asked if he would be able to store my car. They said yes and couldn’t have been nicer! So I had the car towed to Dr. Marv’s! More supply chain issues and my part didn’t come in until the end of January 2022. I kept Dr. Marv’s informed of this. As soon as the part was received by them, my car was fixed a day later! Not only did they do a terrific job but between the cost of the new part and the installation by Dr. Marv’s, my cost was far less than the $3000 quote from the other transmission shop! I would highly, highly, highly recommend Dr. Marv’s!Service: Transmission”
