Every time I go everyone from check in, Clinical, to Check Out are very pleasant. Dr. Shen is very nice and friendly. Never had any issues with staff and or any bad experiences.

My primary doctor , Hongxie Shen, only ran 2 tests for my treatment and sent me to get a chest X-ray. I have a very compromised immune system and have someone at my residence who recently under went serious gastrointestinal surgery. I told this all to Dr.Shen and he did not seem receptive to my concerns. He told me in office that he was prescribing me a cough syrup but when I went to my pharmacy to pick up the medication, he prescribed me musinex. If I knew this I would not have wasted my time stopping by the pharmacy as I already have this at home. He called me later to go over results and had no Info on my condition, I had to push him to say I had an upper respiratory infection because he would not give me any other information or details. After wards I had to call EVERYDAY about my condition as it was steadily worsening. He did not ask me to come back into the office for more testing and instead just told me to go to the hospital. I went to the hospital and left with 5 different prescriptions and requested my doctor to be informed. I did not receive a follow up call from my doctor after this trip. Dr.Shen is not very receptive to the patient and it’s very saddening because everyone else in the office is simply splendid, including Percilla, the nurse, who is such a gem! Doctors like this make it very difficult for the patient who is already suffering from illness. I should not have to fight with my doctor when I’m already fighting off an undiagnosed condition, the doctor should be trying to help me understand the situation but instead I feel he just wanted to pass me off and get me out of the office.

Posting about the Unprofessional Receptionists in the Front,who need to.learn how to Communicate with your Patients,when they are checking in. Hear them out...Once,a year,WE have to Fill out Consent Forms. It shouldn't matter if they Come from AtlantiCare Urgent Care or AtlantiCare Group themselves. They,are the same Forms that get filled out. I,filled them out at both Locations,because of Different Situations...When,I,called the Access Center I,made a Complaint against the Head Receptionist,who sits across from The Rothman Institute. She had,a Nasty Attitude and didn't want to Hear me out. She,was basically Fighting with Me. The,Access Center reassured Me,that I didn't have to resubmit the Forms for my Oldest Daughter but unfortunately that wasn't the Case and a,Receptionist forced me to do so because she couldn't Hear me out or even cared what I had to say. Called Access Center Again and made a Complaint and I even left a,Message for the Snotty Stuck up *itch Head Receptionist Boss to know how Unprofessional the Receptionists are towards the Patients when Check in. If, AtlantiCare Urgent Care can Give Professional Care and not Force Consent Forms on Patients that already filled them out no matter what location then, AtlantiCare Group themselves should do the same. If,I could I,would have left but unfortunately AtlantiCare is close to Home.

Dr. Shen is the best! He's the doctor for my family and some of my friends. He never dismisses my concerns and is always very attentive

They waited until the day before my surgery to tell me they couldn’t do it very unprofessional. My appointment was set for three weeks prior. I had to resign from my job to get the surgery done just for them to cancel the day before. I will not associate with this place ever again.

I just left doctor shen he was awesome he treat me nice and listened what I had to say he didn’t jump in and ignore me he helped me so much I was scared to go to other doctors but I like him as my doctor I recommend him

By far the worse practice in the area. Save yourself the disappointment and look elsewhere. They treat you as a dollar sign rather then a person. Talking to these people is just like talking to a robot.

Unfortunately, when this practice moved to AtlantiCare, it no longer shows the same level of dedication and attention to its patients as it once did. I can't believe my own doctor refused to see me and instead told me to go to an urgentcare facility. Save yourself the frustration and go somewhere that you are a priority.

Dr Shen primary care AVOID HIM LIKE THE PLAGUE. He should not be licensed to practice medicine. I switched primary dr. Seen Dr Shen twice now. Both visits he is clueless. I only have a sinus infection that most likely requires a zpac but his reply is: I cannot prescribe bc I don’t know what you have ARE YOU KIDDING ME. Shame on you ATLANTICARE for having such an incompetent so called Doctor work at your facility

So I had an appointment scheduled and I got called into work (I work for doctor's) so as soon as I found that out I called the answering service at around 7 am to cancel and now they will not see me because they count that as a no-show. A no-show in the medical world is when you do not call. I called. Well anyway, Atlanticare is not the only physicians in the area so I guess I will give my money to another physician. Terrible.

I feel this facility is wonderful. They are thorough, very helpful and make sure I get the medical care I need. Appts., Blood work, x-rays etc.. Also very concerned about my weight and well being physically and mentally. I love having everything in one place. I can not say one bad thing about the Manahawkin branch. I needed surgery on my finger and they assisted with scheduling everything I needed for my surgery asap in extremely short notice. Also Dr. Barrios takes very good care of my parents. Always on top of things. Makes sure they are also getting the care they need in a heartbeat. Monitors their health very closely and prescribes necessary meds immediately. Always available .

I have nothing but praise for the cardiology team. I had to have some pre-surgery tests done that were time sensitive; Dr. Slaven, Madelyn and all the nurses were stellar and outstanding. Madelyn in particular went above the call of duty to find a stress test available for me in the Atlanticare system. Dr. Slaven was through, explained procedures quite well and was warm and unrushed. The kindness of this team was stellar...rare to find these days. I commend them all in their team work!
