I live in CA, but my family lives in the area, and I like to be able to deal directly with a local flower shop, rather than use an ftd website, which I detest. This flower shop is FANTASTIC! I have called for last minute flower deliveries, I have called with nothing particular in mind that I wanted, I have called with very specific flower requests - they have always been 100% amazing, professional, artistic and have delivered beautiful bouquets every time. Based off of my Pinterest board and what we discussed during our two phone calls, she provided everything I wanted and more for my arbor/ceremony, bridal party, and reception area! I also got choked up when I first saw my bouquet, she just really nailed it. If you are getting married at the Sea Shell, Christine should be your go-to florist because she knows all of the best places to have floral arrangements/greenery throughout the venue which made wedding planning as simple as it can get. “I have so many amazing things to say about Black Eyed Susans! The short version of this review is: Alyssa and Angela are FANTASTIC at what they do. You can not go wrong with choosing them for any floral needs you have.

The longer version: I initially met with Susan ( the previous owner ) to chat about flowers for my upcoming vintage themed wedding. I told her my vision- a mix of as many colors as possible with a natural, wildflower energy. My wedding was still months away at this point, so I checked florals off my to do list and moved on with my wedding planning.

Then I got a call from Alyssa, letting me know that Susan had sold BES, and to introduce herself as the new owner. I was hesitant at first, as I hadn’t ever met or talked to Alyssa. But after a brief call I felt completely confident that my wedding needs were in good hands. Alyssa was confident, enthusiastic and listened intently. She communicated in a very timely fashion and kept our budget in mind when designing our florals.

A few weeks later, Angela and Alyssa called me in to look at a trial bouquet. It was beautiful. But, not only was the bouquet everything I had asked for, the retail space itself was in the process of a lovely and much needed update. The retail space before was cold and a bit outdated. Now it’s warm and inviting, filled with green plants and colorful flowers.

But, nothing will ever compare to my stunning wedding florals. At one point I almost considered going with dried flowers because I also love that aesthetic, but I’m SO grateful that I didn’t go that route.
