Seriously disgusted by the employee named Kanwar. August 18, 2024 at 4:20pm I go walk into the location and notice the display of hot foods. I see they have a few timed items and the sticker with dates and time on the food being sold. Food was made 10:23am and set to be tossed out at 1:23pm. I ask him to make a new order of the 5-piece buffalo wings which aren’t bad when freshly made and within the time frame allotted. The man comes and says it’s in the display and ‘very fresh’ ‘just made’. I tell him about the time it was made and supposed to be discarded, then reluctantly goes to make a new set as if he finally understood I didn’t want to eat food that was supposed to be tossed into the garbage three hours prior.
If they were display items, have a sign that says display on it. Not selling them to customers who just wanted some food.
After making other purchases and heading back to my car, I check the food, lo and behold’ it’s still cold to touch still frozen. My partner goes back into the store and lets Kanwar know it’s still cold and surprisingly, all the food items had their time stickers removed. The trays of food were adjusted and made to look new but obviously the food dried out and left to be sold to some unaware customer that walks in.
He tells my partner that they toss food out at 5pm for what I suppose is a shift change. So it doesn’t matter when food was made at 9am/10am; it’s still gonna be sold till some other person figures it needs to be remade for display purposes.
Lovely business practice of 7-11 I guess.
Hopefully management will take mind and re-train workers proper food handling. Food safety awareness is important, unless they wish for someone to get sick with food poisoning. We’re not in some third-world country.

They “upgraded” their hot food section to be open to customers with no guard around the food. Anyone can grab the food with their hands and put it back instead of the normal cashier handling it with gloves. When I asked for fresh food to be cooked I was denied, even though the hotdog I wanted could’ve been there since yesterday. Frequent customers walk in without masks and nothing is said to them. They’ve seriously down graded from the first time I started going there.

Thx so much for being open That's so important sometimes :) I woke up super early and wanted to get ice cream wasn't 100% sure what would be open or where should I go thankfully I went to this 7 eleven
