Dollar General Whiting offers everyday essentials at affordable prices from right around the corner. The store provides low prices on food, snacks, health and beauty aids, cleaning supplies, and more. This location sells tobacco and produce. The new renovations are awesome, making it very easy to get in and get out fast, and it carries many items not normally found there. Staff are noted as courteous and very nice, with helpful service. However, the store can be out of stock in a number of areas, and self-serve checkouts are sometimes closed.
They do have a small section true to the Dollar in their name.

Got what I needed . They have useful items nothing fancy. Checkout can be a challenge when people are looking for discounts. Seen a pet there. Service dog. A good place for simple household items , hair brushes to tupperware.
