Why are there cameras facing the fitting rooms?? And don't tell me you can't see in the fitting room because it's really visible from the mirror. Either get rid of them or close off the tops of the fitting rooms.. that's creepy.

I had a really positive experience at the Plato’s Closet in Maple Shade. The store manager was incredibly friendly, engaging, and genuinely open to hearing my feedback about the store. She made the visit feel welcoming, and it’s clear she cares about the customer experience.
The merchandise was well organized, color coordinated, and priced really well. I had fun shopping around and finding new looks — there were plenty of great options.
While the store manager was wonderful, the rest of the staff wasn’t as welcoming or attentive during my visit. However, with the feedback I shared, I’m confident this location can easily turn into a 5-star experience moving forward.
If you’re planning to sell, I definitely recommend going on a Monday or Tuesday instead of a weekend — the wait times tend to be much smoother. Overall, great value, great selection, and a store manager who truly makes the difference.

If I can give a zero I would not for the selection but for the service. Guri the cashier was extremely disrespectful, condescending and belittling. I did not want one of the items and he went on to try and educate me on the brand I said it’s ok I just don’t want the shirt he continued insulting me stating well you’re shopping at a thrift store, I stated well you work at one with his response being at least I have a job. The manager has no control over her employee he continued to go on after she was called showing her no respect as well.

The store is organized and has a great collection but my sister had the worst interaction with one of the staff members there today. While asking about the store ‘buying’ hours and pointing at the board which said ‘buying’ hours begin 10am tomorrow she just wanted to know when do the hours end she asked in a very normal and curious tone, the guy working on the counter walked towards her and before addressing anything said “calm down no need to show attitude and point fingers”. It was rude and unnecessary. Wouldn’t be going to this outlet ever. I understand that the customer service job isn’t the easiest but to be rude to customers unnecessarily isn’t okay.

I gave them 15 rings in a little drawstring bag. Top and a pair of pants They counted all 15 rings as a single item and gave me $8 for 18 items. So don't waste your time with this place.

Waste of time! They don’t accept anything. And are only taking store credit currently, the workers only sit on their phones and smoke outside of the store all day. Wouldn’t recommend!

The guy who works the front is not very smart 😂
We dropped off clothes in trash bags. We picked up our items and the bags were not opened. We wasted over an hour of our time. He gave us $1.50 for a target brand pajama shirt but didn’t take the name brand wanted items.

I’ve been to this store quite frequently within the past months and while I do enjoy it, I do have some complaints. Recently I’ve been seeing lots of Plato’s Closet accounts on TikTok and Instagram going through a “buy” with them. They check for stains, wear and if the clothes are dated or not. Most of the clothing at this store are good, and fairly priced. But the amount of stains I have seen on the clothing in this store is kinda crazy. I went in the store on Monday, and found some cute stuff I wanted to try on. I found a pair of pink free people shorts, looked new on the outside. Stains in the crotch area when I went to try them on! I was absolutely disgusted. The fact that the workers went through someone’s clothes without checking for stains is unacceptable. I’ve seen tiny stains here and there on clothing but honestly they need to step up on what they buy and don’t buy. The workers are nice, no complaints about them. This one man, in his 30s maybe was so kind to me and a couple of my girlfriends when we entered the store. He was very helpful is letting us know what the price was on some things if not labeled (etc.) The only complaint I have is about one older woman particularly. When I went into the store on Monday, I walked past the counter and smelt a rancid smell. It wasn’t even like someone forgot to maybe put on deodorant that day, it was TERRIBLE. It’s not even like a whiff when you walk past her, it’s even when your standing 10 feet away from her! That’s not the first time I’ve smelt her odor before. Although she is nice, employees should know basic hygiene, especially when you work with people all day? If I was new to the store I would have immediately left because hygiene and cleanliness matters!

Not only is the manager very condescending but the store itself was horribly dusty! The girl who ran me out was very kind and understanding. I know nothing will come of this review but after my experience definitely wanted to say something.

The clothes here are ugly with stains. They showed me the door and told me they’re not buying anymore when I clearly see them going through someone else’s bags. They choose who they buy from, not what’s in the bag.

Absolute scam of a business. Went to sell brand new shoes and only got $22 for both pairs. Employee was rude too. Wouldn’t recommend going here.

Their favorite line is “Your clothes are out of style so we can’t take them”. Did they actually go thru their store and check most of their clothings are out of style? Second time going here and the last.
