Food was absolutley outstanding. We love Indian food and I have travelled there twice. This was maybe some of the finest Indian food I’ve had outside of India. We each have different tastes, and the debate was spicy or not. They prepared the dishes in half portions — half spicy/half mild. This was perfect. Food was so fresh and great sized portions. Will be back.Vegetarian options: On the menu.Dietary restrictions: He asked.Parking: Maplewood tends to be busy.

Nestled in the heart of Maplewood Main Street, offers a delightful bites and attentive service, it's no wonder why this restaurant is a holding strong at a prime spot. The menu boasts a wide array of traditional Indian dishes, each prepared with care.Start your meal with papad, For the main course, the tandoori chicken is a must-try, that pairs perfectly with garlic naan bread.Vegetarian options are plentiful, with dishes like daal fry and vegetable biryani showcasing the freshness and abundance of vegetables in Indian cuisine. Pair your meal with a refreshing mango lassi for the perfect balance of flavors. While the food at Tandoori Chef is undeniably delicious, the only reason it falls short of a perfect five-star rating is due to the ambiance, it’s a bit small however this issue is easily overlooked in light of the overall exceptional dining experience.

My family and I went here for dinner. This was our first time and we were very impressed by the food and the service. Our server was exceptionally nice and helped entertain my one year old nephew so his mom could eat in peace. If we are in the area, we will definitely come back! The garlic naan was thin and crispy and the curries were delicious. They also made a curry mildest spice level when we requested. The chutney that comes with the papad was also fantastic. Big thumbs up to this place!
