This is the largest Asian food store within 30 miles of me and I come up there for unique items for wok cooking or doing homemade curry and especially freshwater eel, which is frozen in the sauce and absolutely delicious if you’re into making your own sushi.Sadly, much of this store carries Americanized versions of their products, I assume to try to get a larger community of people in the store. Finding various Asian country food written in native languages is harder every day as products are not, as varied as a decade to go in the same store. There’s lots of boxes in the aisles and the Layout of the store is confusing, although it’s quite large and if you’re looking for basic items to make a dinner that you watched on YouTube or somewhere that store will likely have what you need. But there are many better places, and many cleaner places too. They also have ducks and chickens hanging in a small corner of the store and currently in November 2023 they are going $35 for a duck cut up and packaged. The duck is excellent cooked beautifully, but the section of the store has changed over the years and they’ve made it smaller and smaller , with less products, both cooked in store and throughout the supermarket. The fresh live seafood section is gone although fresh meats and frozen food makes up for it.It gets a three because the store shouldn’t have the feeling of a smaller big box store, prices are not cheaper and you have an Aldi’s experience.

I really love this Asian supermarket. It has a plethora of authentic products, vegetation, and fresh produce. There’s a hot bar for ready-to-go food with delicious Chinese food, adjacent to a bakery that features a variety of freshly baked bread and sweets. With a butcher station and fish market, you’re guaranteed to get fresh produce. There are products from all different Asian countries; aisles are filled with Vietnamese, Thai, Cantonese, Shanghainese - to name a few. In addition to those, there are more domestic products which is convenient if you’re looking to have a one stop shop for different cuisine needs.Very happy to have one in the area!

Excellent selection of ramen and Asian savory snacks. Good selection of meat and fish, including bones for stocks and stews, at amazing prices. Has an in-house bakery and hot foods kitchen for prepared takeaway foods. Stocked with every kind of fruit and vegetable one can imagine. Disappointing frozen section. Candy is a bit hit or miss. Solid Asian market.

I do some family shopping at the Asian Food Market. I get the Prince of Peace Ginger Crystals and Green Tea. While I am there, I have purchased frozen Sardines, a large bag of onions, watercress and other miscellaneous bakery items. I do like to shop there. Their prices are better in some things than the other Asian stores.

Pretty awesome place and plenty of authentic food! The selection, vibe and cleanliness of the establishment is also great. Would definitely recommend this to anyone interested in the articles or not!

Love this place. Not gunna lie...they sell fresh seafood in the back of store so it constantly smells like fish is the store. But the best part about this place are the homemade buns they sell. If you dont get there early they are usually sold out. They also have a mini Chinese restaurant there as well. I thought the food was great. Its a favorite of ours

This one compared to the small one in Middletown is giving fancy and glam for an Asian grocery store. Not quite a Ranch 99, Mitsuwa, or a brand new HMart but almost there. If this store was a Brady bunch child, she'd be Jan. Large, spacious, not cluttered, has everything and prices are not too bad. There's a prepared food section in the front that used to be better, but doesn't compare to the quantity of selection or quality of Kam Man in Edison. The Cantonese BBQ joint is quite good. I love all the stuffed baos they have to the left of the BBQ stand. Lots of great Asian veggies and a very well organized and clean meat and seafood dept. They also have cold AC which is also nice. So do yourself a favor, go next to first to pick up a boba drink then do your grocery shopping here.

My quest for better homemade ramen led me to Asian Food Market in Marlboro. After finding Ramen_Lord's free ebook, The Book of Ramen, I was inspired to create my own ramen instead of settling for local, expensive options.I initially tried online shopping for the ingredients, but found them to be quite pricey. That's when I learned about the Asian Food Market, a half hour drive from my home. I decided to give it a shot, and I'm glad I did.The store was a manageable size and filled with a variety of goods - from dry and fresh produce to chilled items I'd never seen before. I spent about an hour going through the store, getting used to the unfamiliar packaging and different languages.I was able to find everything I needed for my ramen, and a few extra items too. When I checked out, I was pleasantly surprised to find the total cost was half of my earlier online estimates. The trip to Asian Food Market in Marlboro was well worth it. It's now my preferred place to shop for my cooking experiments, and I'll definitely be back when I need more ingredients. It's a cost-effective and interesting place to shop.

Great store for all your Asian shopping needs. The shelves are stocked with so many choices ! The freshly baked goods were delicious !! So happy to have this store close by. Going all the way to Edison and having to fight for a parking spot and being pushed by customers in the store was getting on my last nerve ! This store is a GEM !!!!

It is the only place I can shop for all of my authentic sauces, baked goods, Chinese vegetables (dried or fresh), authentic prepared Chinese food, spices & household goods, & so much more. It is my Asian grocery mkt away from NYC home.
