I’m so grateful for the manager, Sarah, who really went above and beyond by helping me return a gift (that I didn’t want to tell the giver that I didn’t like!). I’m always pleased with Madewell’s clothes and impressed with how warm and helpful all the Promenade staff are. Thanks especially to Sarah!

Not sure what happened over the last several years, but the service from the associates working has absolutely taken a nosedive. A general sense that the customer is a nuisance, a lack of urgency, and a total unwillingness to think outside the box or go above and beyond. I have working in customer service for 10 years, and admittedly my standards are high. But for premium clothes at a PREMIUM price, you have to do better than that.

Im a frequent shopper at Madewell. I’ve always had an amazing experience when shopping there. Lisa and Mackenzie are great women! They always greet you when you come in and don’t bombard you. They give you time to look around. What I love is the offering of free alterations! I needed a pair of jeans shorten and they came out great!

Went to Madewell at Promenade for denim alterations for pair of jeans I purchased online. Staff was really attentive and friendly. The jeans I purchased were so long and I’m so excited by the free alterations on the jeans I bought. Went back a week later and the staff (different people) were friendly and nice to chat with. Alterations are perfect and I grabbed a $128 merino cardigan on sale for $23! Feeling pretty happy with my experience

Recently stopped in to find a Valentines Day gift for my girlfriend. Donna and Sarah were super helpful and friendly. They gave great recommendations, going above and beyond, making the process much easier than I anticipated. She loved the gifts.

I love madewell jeans but unfortunately the shopping experience was tainted by the employees. I was the ONLY customer in the store at the time and when I went to check out the THREE employees working at the time stared right at me and turned away and continued their conversation for at least 1-2 minutes. I almost thought they weren’t employees so I didn’t say anything. I never leave bad reviews but as a customer service worker myself this was terrible service for a place that is not cheap.

I’ve been to this location a few times and sometimes the staff is not very welcoming. However, I stopped in today and Nancy was the best sales associate ever! She helped me set up a dressing room and was so warm and friendly. She really went out of the way to make a positive impact on my shopping experience. There was another associate with short, darker curly hair with glasses who was also so lovely. Thank you both so much!

Was evicted to see a store in Marlton NJ however when we walked in no associates said hi or offered help and we were the only ones there. Somebody followed us around and made us uncomfortable.

I want to like shopping here because I love Madewell itself, but I cannot get past the employees who will look you directly in your face and not speak, specifically the two younger women. It’s really sad because there’s another employee with gray/white hair and glasses who goes out of her way to be friendly and welcoming, but when she’s not around the atmosphere in the store is not my vibe. If it weren’t for the fact that there are no other Madewells in our area, I wouldn’t shop there. Saying hello is bare minimum customer service. Do better.

I came to Madewell in a fluster, trying to find an outfit for graduation. The staff there was beyond friendly and helpful. Collate helped me the entire time and felt like my fairy godmother. I can't recommend this store enough!
