I had a great experience last week, which was mostly due to Sandy, a sales associate there. I was there on a Sunday afternoon and the store was bustling with customers. Even so, I was immediately greeted and asked if I was looking for anything in particular. I was looking for a dress for an outdoor venue wedding. I wasn't overly hopeful, because I had already struck out at a few other stores that afternoon. Sandy asked me a few questions to help me narrow my focus and within two minutes already four dresses for me to try. A few of them I initially refused, because I didn't think they would flatter me. Sandy convinced me otherwise and soon I was in the dressing room with multiple options. I'm typically a private person, but there was a true sense of supportive sisterhood in the common area of the dressing room that day from the other associates and customers. We were all giving each other opinions and support. I left the store that day with multiple options for that wedding, a future wedding and work. I also bought a pair of shoes, that Sandy had pulled for me to wear, while trying on the dresses and jewelry to complement the wedding guest dresses. Sandy knows the merchandise well, has a good sense of style and has the perfect personality. She's a gem and I'll be back for sure.

Walked into the WHBM store at the Promenade at about 5:40 this evening and instead of being created with, “Hello, welcome - can we help you with anything,” we were greeted with, “if you are planning on trying anything on, better hurry up and be quick, yes hurry up, because we close in 20 minutes.” Don’t think I will ever visit this particular WHBM again. I recently moved here from Indiana and I frequented my local WHBM and never heard that team make any customer feel unwelcome. If one of the two there was the manager, shame on that person - what a poor example of customer service. Both were less than welcoming.

Love the line of clothes, but hate this store. In fact every WHBM is the same- overly aggressive sales clerks that chase you down. But this one is particularly bad. I went there today and the overbearing sales clerk just wouldn't stop checking in- every time I looked at an item she ran over to comment on my good taste. It became absurd. She literally checked in with me, during my brief 20 minute stroll through the store, 15 times. Finally I go into the dressing room, and while I'm half naked trying stuff on, she whips open the curtain and checks in again! I'm barely dressed- thong and bra. Meanwhile there's people all around. I felt completely violated. I made a joke about it, saying I didn't expect you to come right in! But guess what? Five minutes later she does it again. I get being assertive to make the sale, but this is ridiculous. WHBM is losing out, because I for one can find somewhere else to shop. I don't like being harassed or stalked, and I don't like feeling like I'm being sexually violated. Goodbye WHBM, and good riddance Marlton WHBM.

I have to echo what the other reviewer said about the lousy customer service. Everytime I've been in here I've basically been ignored until it was time to checkout. Not sure if the workers don't expect 20somethings to shop here but they consistently ignore you. Very poor customer service.

No thanks. Have you ever seen the Family Guy when Stewie goes in to the gym and the sales associate is so unbelievably overbearing and essentially chases Stewie out? And on the way out Stewie says, "You came on a bit strong..."? Yeah, that was me. I walk in because the selection is larger than at Cherry Hill Mall...I'm pregnant, feeling reallllly big in the belly area, and wanted something to wear to a friend's wedding on Friday. All my cute little black dresses are toooo toooo little now. I look like a sausage. I'm with my mom, and we grab some cute loose shirts and "Debbie" marches to my mother and says "I'll start a room! What's your name?!" She gives Deb MY name and I could see my mom was taken aback by how overwhelming Debbie's greeting was. We finally go back to the dressing rooms and are immediately told "THERE'S A WAIT FOR THE DRESSING ROOMS!" Um...why did you grab all of my sh.t then? Oh, so you could slap your name on my pile of clothes and get a commish for anything I might buy. Doy. Literally 30 seconds later, there's a room ready! Why even tell us there's a wait? So, go in and Debbie literally starts coming through the closed curtain and starts asking the occasion for shopping to which I respond, not enthusiastically, "I'm pregnant, feeling huge, and need something to wear to a friend's wedding that covers me up." She insists on grabbing MORE stuff for me to try on (I had at least 8 things already...) and I just let her go. She comes back with the tiniest dresses and little shrugs for me to try on...remember when I said I was pregnant and trying to cover up? Those itty bitty shrugs ain't cutting it. I put them aside with no intention of trying them on and she comes back and again, tries to come through the curtain, WITH SHOES THIS TIME. I literally had to put my hand in her face and say "NO. NO SHOES." I ran out of there so fast...I understand you're looking for commission, but as someone who spent 5 years in a 100% commission recruiting job, there is a way to be consultative versus absurd. I will not be back to this location unless I'm wearing a "GO AWAY" shirt.
