Fred is a very nice individual and so is the man that ran the counter I can’t remember his name but it started with a J i think. We went to his shop with some transmission problems. He took extra care with the car drove it around and suddenly the problem was no more lol!!! but he was a very nice human being and if we have any more car troubles while we’re staying down here we will go to him.

The last two years I've left my vehicle in an exposed carport over the winter in OC, NJ. Both times I've had to jump the battery to start my vehicle. Last year I got lucky and my battery was able to self charged after starting. This year I wasn't as lucky. I jumped the battery, but it didn't charge up and was getting weaker. I called Fred's and they said bring the vehicle over and they would test the battery. My battery was basically dead and they had a replacement battery in stock. I was back on the road within the hour. Very convenient location and they don't over sell their services. Thanks to the work staff.

A really excellent repair shop. Highly skilled mechanics with literally over a hundred years of experience. And an office manager ( Head Chef & Bottle washer) Fred himself who makes certain that every item is explained and accounted for. An ‘old school’ operation.5 star!

I had to update my review after the blower motor they put in a couple months ago already has problems if it was a new part I think it would have lasted longer than 6 months when I wasn't even using it that much anyway

Fred's auto is literally the MVP of my vacation. Changed my tire in an emergency in an hour so I could make it to the beach and take the three hour drive home safely. Everyone was so kind and personable. I could not recommend them enough! If I ever have another problem in the area I won't hesitate to go back.
