The repair work was done well, though the paint’s long-term durability remains to be seen. I’ve had poor experiences before with insurance-affiliated shops, but that’s not why I’m giving three stars.
My rating is due to the timeline I was given. In early November, I was told the door and mirror needed to be ordered and replaced, and that the repair would take two weeks. I was advised to bring the car in on December 1st, expecting a prompt completion. Instead, I didn’t receive it until December 29th.
Because of this unexpected delay, I had to rent a car for 29 days instead of the planned 14. Had the shop provided a more accurate estimate, I could have avoided this unnecessary expense.

Overall it was very nice experience from the start to finish...Cassie and Amy where very nice and profesional. I was getting progress updates every step of the way, just simply service you would expect without any nonsens. I would definietly recomend Compact Auto Body shop, they know how to fix your Tesla👍👍

Samantha is an absolute nightmare to deal with, not worth it to go to this shop. Go elsewhere and save yourself the headache and the irritation for dealing with this mistake of a human being.

We wanted an estimate cause we said through the car company it tends to be higher and they said “okay go somewhere else” and refused to give us an estimate. Customer service is definitely not their specialty

I have been a repeat customer of Compact Auto Body of Matawan for well over two decades. While damage to a car is frustrating, at best, and tragic, at worst, every time I have repaired a car at Compact, I have been incredibly pleased. In fact, each car has come back without any trace of damage. In addition to Compact's impeccable work, the staff (from reception to estimators to repairpersons and management) is fantastic. They communicate well and handle all details. Fortunately, I have not needed Compact's specialty for several years, but, when my brand new, 4-week-old car (stopped at a red light) was hit by a negligent motorcyclist this week, I knew I would return to Compact. I dropped the car off today and I know my car is in expert hands at Compact with efficient, timely repairs by a team that works great with its customers.
