This store really gets two and a half stores. I know it's hard for them to get employees but if they increase the pay rate they would probably have an easier time. Usually, when I go around 4:00 or 5:00 and want to get gas, half of the gas pumps are shut off and have cones in front of them. I guess one person can't manage all of the pumps, that's reasonable, but shutting down half of the gas station causes me to go elsewhere for gas. Sometimes the food takes a while to be made and sometimes it's made right away, it seems to be hit or miss. I've had times where the staff haven't tied their hair back properly but I've never had hair in my food either. I really want to like this store more since it's so close to my house but it seems to be a corporate decision to hire everyone at minimum wage, and this store seems to suffer because of it.

I am writing to bring to your attention a concerning incident that occurred during my recent visit to your store located at 1 Cliffwood Ave, Laurence Harbor, NJ 08879, between the hours of 1:30 am and 2:00 am on 12/13/23.Unfortunately, I experienced a troubling encounter with one of your gas station attendants. This individual exhibited aggressive behavior that raised serious concerns about his professionalism and customer service skills. I feel it is crucial to bring this matter to your attention for the sake of maintaining a positive customer experience at your establishment.Upon reviewing the security camera footage, you will observe the attendant forcefully inserting the pump into my vehicle's tank and slamming my gas tank cover after completing the fueling process. I would like to emphasize that there were no verbal exchanges between us, as I simply requested him to fill up my vehicle with fuel.Moreover, I observed a stark contrast in his behavior when servicing another customer, specifically a woman in a different vehicle. The attendant handled her transaction with care and gentleness, leading me to suspect that there may be issues related to inconsistent treatment of customers.This is not an isolated incident, as I encountered a similar situation during my previous visit to your store. The attendant appeared to be selective in serving customers, creating the impression of possible bias. This has prompted me to question whether there may be underlying racial issues influencing his conduct.As a loyal customer who frequents your store for coffee and other necessities on my daily commute to work, I am disheartened by these experiences. While I value the convenience of your location, I believe that every customer deserves to be treated with respect and fairness.I kindly request that you thoroughly review the security camera footage related to these incidents and take appropriate action. It is imperative that this individual undergoes training on customer service etiquette and is disciplined accordingly. Should these issues persist, I may be compelled to report this matter to your corporate office, as I believe it is crucial for the reputation and integrity of your establishment.I trust that you will address this matter promptly and ensure that all customers receive equal and respectful treatment.Thank you for your immediate attention to this concern.

I don’t know why I do this to myself every time I come here, but I order a specialty drink every time I come here because they look good. But I should’ve learned from my last experience that I shouldn’t. I ordered a frozen pumpkin mocha with added, pumpkin cold foam on top for an extra charge. the person behind the counter proceeded to put regular cold foam on it and I questioned why did I pay extra if it was just regular cold foam and not the pumpkin cold foam that they have advertised so then she pulled out the orange, thick whipped topping that isn’t even pumpkin flavored and put that on it. Both workers behind the counter had no idea what I was talking about and one even said that they didn’t train them or show them what they were supposed to do. On top of everything the drink isn’t frozen, blended properly, or pumpkin flavored and I threw it out after just a few sips. I think I finally learned my lesson and I won’t be coming back here for any food or drinks.

This place can use a good cleaning. Staff is busy in their cellphones and literally watching videos behind the counter. The coffee stations are in disarray, and they are regularly out of milk, lids, and sometimes cups. The tops of the iced coffee canisters are never fastened and god knows what kind of bacteria is being introduced. The gas pumps are always understaffed and it's not unusual to see people pumping their own gas. Whoever is running this place should be replaced. I can't believe Quick Chek corporate hasn't turned this store upside down.

I can confidently say this is the most disgusting quickchek I’ve ever been to. Employees were pleasant but the entire place was noticeably dirty including the bathrooms. Couldn’t get out of here sooner ?

Although I like quick Chek for most things. The cherry vanilla and orange creamsickle ice cream shakes I had there last night was hands down the absolutely worse ever. More like flavored milk.

This place is the worst. The iced coffee is always luke warm and melts the ice cubes. The coffee station is always gross, always out of cups, milk and sometimes even coffee.The place is filthy and half the staff appears to be on work release. Whoever is managing this place needs to go.My mom lives is Aberdeen and I hit this before getting back in GSP and am always appalled at how bad this QC is.I wonder is this is a corporate owned location. If so, why are the other locations ran well and clean?This place can kick rocks.

I go to this quick check relatively often before work around 4:30 am. I find that nowadays, it’s really difficult to find good customer service. However, every time I walk into this quick check, everyone is so amazingly friendly. They always say good morning, they are accommodating, and just overall very kind and do their job extremely well. It seems like they are stuck in a time capsule where human interaction was normal unlike most places where I say hi to the person ringing me up and they just stare at me and then I feel weird. I just really love everyone’s positive attitude there and hope I can find employees like that when I open my own business some day.

This store has to be one of the worse around. I have come here for years, mostly for cigarettes & fuel since it's close to my house. The store is dirty and poorly run. No matter what time you go there, you are often waiting at the register for an employee to come from the back and help you. In my most recent visit I waited in line for almost 5 minutes mid-day with 4-5 other customers before someone had shown up to help us. Once that person arrived he (Jake) told everyone we have to use the automated teller machine. I stated I did not want to use the machine for my purchase. I have used them before, and they are very slow, most of the time don't want to take bills unless they are perfectly flat, and even once you manage to get past that process and a dozen questions the machine ask, it takes a solid minute or more for the machine to spit out your change. Other customers were not happy either, but I work hard for my money and spend too much at this store to be talked to like a chump from a stock boy. Once I told the employee (Jake) who seems to have the I.Q. of a peanut for the third time I did not want to use the automated teller, he became angry and belligerent and told me he was to busy stocking items to help me. In the time he spend arguing with me, he could have completed the transaction multiple times. He then proceeded to take other customers that were behind me at the automated teller and was refusing to help me. All the while making a seen in front of all the other customers on how he can refuse service to ANYONE for ANY reason. We will see what corporate thinks of their stock boy turning away their customers at his own discretion. At this point I started to record him on my phone. He seemed unhinged and I wanted to document his lack of professionalism in order to file a complaint with QuickChek corporate at very least. His behavior and demeanor makes him unfit to work dealing with the public and frankly he is a liability for Quick Check. At that point another employee and a manager (Tara) came walking up and stated it was illegal for me to record in the store. Now if anyone is familiar with FCC laws and federal regulation regarding photography videography & audio recording you would know it's perfectly legal and is a constitutionally protected activity. NJ is also a one party state with regard to audio recording. Meaning it's perfectly legal as long as one party to the conversation consents to the recording (me). Being a private business they are within their rights to not allow such photography and videography in their store, but there are no signs stating said restrictions and that would be their "policy" NOT law. They would also need to enforce this across the board and not selectively enforce the policy as they choose without discriminating against me. They can't even legally trespass somebody without first asking them to leave. The fact is I was only recorded due to Jake's unprofessional demeanor. Besides these recent events, employees are often cursing and using profanity talking to one another while customers are around, the store is always dirty, and even basic maintenance and repair like fixing a door that won't stay closed for over 6 years seems to be too much for them. The gas pumps are extremely slow, and the garbage cans outside are usually overflowing. We have many other options for convenience stores in the area, this place should be crossed off everyone's list. Quick Check needs to dump some money into the store itself, and clean house from the top down with regards to staff. Like I said, I go here mostly for cigarettes and gas. I spend on adverage $300.00 - $350.00 a week at this store just on gas, diesel & cigarettes. I would never even think about getting food from this store. If this is how they treat someone that spends this much and is at their store twice a day, just imagine how they will treat the occasional customer. You have been warned!!

Anything that could have possibly went wrong did. I placed an order of 6 things and only 5 of them got rung up by the cashier. So when we went to get the food they said we didn't pay. Then the items that were brought and paid for on the menu we not available. The sandwich wasn't closed properly because oil got on the paper. I cannot find one silver lining because even though the food was good there were ants by the station. Terrible service.

Coffee is always fresh with the most complete variety of milks and nut-milks and sweeteners, also hot chocolate. Also a good variety of filling and satisfying subs that come in 6&12 inches sizes
